I have gone to the Pet Hospital a couple of times with my own dogs when I wasn’t able to get to the vet I’ve been going to for decades, and they were always wonderful…but my last experience was above and beyond. I found a stray dog on my way to work, and took her in. She was a tiny little thing and was pretty old, and she had a nasty growth in her mouth. I made an appointment with The Pet Hospital after the waiting period with Animal Control. In that time, myself and a foster helper loved on the little old dog, we called her Shirley. On the day of the appointment, the sweet vet who helped us looked at Shirley and the pictures I took of her before I cleaned her up. She LISTENED to her story. Sadly, when she looked at her mouth, she told me it was much worse than I realized. The mass had eroded away part of her jaw and some of her teeth. It was really bad, and would only get worse. We talked, and the vet told me the most humane thing to do was euthanize her. It hurt my heart, but I agreed. I was glad Shirley was able to have a week of love and comfort. Today, I got this sweet package in the mail. It was unexpected. I recently found out the vet I’ve used for decades had to move out of state to help his mother…and I’m glad to know I’ve got access to The Pet Hospital. They really are compassionate and kind ❤️

I had previously used this “place” before with my complaint being their prices. I took my older dog recently with scary bleeding stool. I was limited financially and concerned about his comfort. Somehow the conversation went to euthanasia. I was quite upset. We asked about the late visit, being 6:20 pm, after having been there a few hours. Tech said NOT to worry about the time. Five minutes later, same tech came with euthanasia paperwork and an updated bill for $150(?) more for after hours. I offered to pay the $75 exam fee, which they REFUSED, wanting the late fee. Needless to say, I took my dog to an AMAZING vet the next morning for a FRACTION of the cost. My beautiful dog was back to his normal self 24 hours later. So basically, they wanted to euthanize my dog, charge OUTRAGEOUS fee and ALL my dog needed was SQ fluids, antibiotic shot and steroid shot. We were crying and all it seems they saw was MORE money. They wanted over $200 lab fees, $150 for late visit, $75 exam fee, $65 for two nausea pills and NEVER MENTIONED SQ fluids, antibiotic or steroid shot. They ONLY care about money. My amazing dog (13 years old) is alive and well today because I left that “place”. And to respond to your dishonest response : we have different perspectives of reality. Your vets are poorly educated because not ONE TIME did they propose SQ fluids or antibiotic/steroid injections. Before euthanasia was brought up, you proposed expensive lab work that wouldn’t be revealed until the next day, two nausea pills and NO TREATMENT. All of which was $150 MORE than the cure the honest vet clinic provided. You don’t address THAT in your response, do you? Typical corporate smear and cover up. I was there. So were my adult children. We KNEW what happened. Shame on you.

My experiences here have always been amazing. Dr. Myers is awesome. The staff is always friendly and inviting. When we lost one of our dogs, the whole staff was very comforting and helpful through the entire process.
