This guy here needs a stable, loving home he's been through the ringer. I love him so much but couldn't take him permanently. Hood county animal control have the most animal loving people I know on the planet I just know Blu will be Home Soon ! He's a little dog in a Big body . You'll see. With an amazing spirit about him.

I adopted a 3 month old lab pit mix a while back and at first the staff was a little hesitant to bring her out as I had my 2 toddlers with me because she was around 35lbs and full of puppy energy but once we got her in a room she immediately took to me and my kiddos. We had a family discussion and decided to adopt. We explained that we had an appointment to get to and would not be able to take her until the following Monday due to them closing soon. They placed a temporary do not adopt tag on her for us. When I came in Monday morning to adopt and fill out paperwork the staff was very friendly. Once we got this sweet girl home she very quickly came out of her shell and has the most wonderful personality. She is very gentle with the kiddos and when we go for walks as a family she’s always by their side. She’s now 10 months old and a very loyal pup.

The Hood County Animal Control is quite professional in animals' welfare . Upon taking our dog there, we were treated with respect and efficiency and thesameappliesto our pet. I highly recommend this service at the time of need.

I have a friend that needed to rehome a dog and HCAC is helping with that. There's a sign in the office stating that there's an "animal crisis" in America, so if you have room in your life and love for one go see them up at HCAC or Friends for Animals in Acton.

We adopted a delightful kitten. I was amazed at the quality of care for so many animals.

The folks at the Hood County Animal Control are awesome. I've been attempting to trap a Raccoon and called them trying to find out, if I catch it what I should do. They explained that if I trapped one overnight to just give them a call and a person would come out and remove it from my cage no problem. Well instead of a Raccoon I ended up trapping a Skunk instead and true to their word by the time I returned from work the Skunk was gone. Now that's great service! Thanks for doing a great job!
