This guy here needs a stable, loving home he's been through the ringer. I love him so much but couldn't take him permanently. Hood county animal control have the most animal loving people I know on the planet I just know Blu will be Home Soon ! He's a little dog in a Big body . You'll see. With an amazing spirit about him.
I adopted a 3 month old lab pit mix a while back and at first the staff was a little hesitant to bring her out as I had my 2 toddlers with me because she was around 35lbs and full of puppy energy but once we got her in a room she immediately took to me and my kiddos. We had a family discussion and decided to adopt. We explained that we had an appointment to get to and would not be able to take her until the following Monday due to them closing soon. They placed a temporary do not adopt tag on her for us. When I came in Monday morning to adopt and fill out paperwork the staff was very friendly. Once we got this sweet girl home she very quickly came out of her shell and has the most wonderful personality. She is very gentle with the kiddos and when we go for walks as a family she’s always by their side. She’s now 10 months old and a very loyal pup.
The Hood County Animal Control is quite professional in animals' welfare . Upon taking our dog there, we were treated with respect and efficiency and thesameappliesto our pet. I highly recommend this service at the time of need.
I have a friend that needed to rehome a dog and HCAC is helping with that. There's a sign in the office stating that there's an "animal crisis" in America, so if you have room in your life and love for one go see them up at HCAC or Friends for Animals in Acton.
The folks at the Hood County Animal Control are awesome. I've been attempting to trap a Raccoon and called them trying to find out, if I catch it what I should do. They explained that if I trapped one overnight to just give them a call and a person would come out and remove it from my cage no problem. Well instead of a Raccoon I ended up trapping a Skunk instead and true to their word by the time I returned from work the Skunk was gone. Now that's great service! Thanks for doing a great job!
Sergeant Kelly is a heartlessperson when it comes down to it she has a job to do euthanizing dogs. I have to start out by saying how much I love this place the staff is full of good people. Gave me a sense of purpose working there. They gave me an opportunity in a bad situation. I love animals and the staff I think they love the animals too. How ever they won't call even if you ask them to. If they decide a dog to be euthanized even your dog. Worked here and said I will take my dog and come up with another plan for him somehow if it comes down to it. He was still euthanized i didnt realize it. I was told he became aggressive but hes never been aggressive ever. They euthanized him do to lack of space. One of the volunteers even told me that to be the case. I'd hoped it wasn't true but he was euthanized. I thought they cared more but when it comes down to it they have a job to do. They will lie to your face to try to make it better. Don't kid yourself lying to you if they say they don't have a time limit or won't be euthanized. They literally put my dog down the weekend of my birthday. Update 2-10-2023 still don't forgive or forgotten that they killed my sweet boy.
