Gets crowded very quickly so plan accordingly. I recommend bringing your own water bowls as well as fresh water; there is a hose spout on both side but it always looks yellowish. Large dog side floods after rain Bring 💩bags as theirs are usually empty There is a small walking trail that goes around the outside of both dog park but unfortunately, they have not maintained it so be careful walking . All in all, this is an OK little dog park but we visit very frequently

I had lost a very dear friend. He had 2 dogs that was 14 and 13 which was originally my dogs as puppies. Halifax treated me OMG do so kind everyone the there was so kind and helpful. That let me claim my friends dogs with pictures and charged me nothing. This place is the greatest.

We adopted Pom Pom about a month ago. She is a blessing because last week we had to let our 17 year old cat cross the rainbow 🌈 bridge 🌉. Now we get to love her. She has been to our vet and received all vaccines and is on preventative medicine. We had a great experience at Halifax Humane Society and we will definitely adopt from them again

One of the best animal shelters I’ve seen. Clean, airy, well-lit, comfortable, nice rooms to meet future pets, and pleasant staff. I adopted a shih tzu there four years ago, and had a great experience. I went back for a second (unfortunately he was gone when I got there), and had the same great experience. I wish all shelters were this nice - the pups, kitties, and more and their future owners deserve it. :)

Halifax is great! They are very friendly and allow you to interact with the cats before you choose to adopt (not sure about dogs- I never looked at dogs). I adopted a 5-month-old kitten back in September 2023 and he is as beautiful and healthy as they come. The staff was friendly, patient, and even was able to get him fixed faster so he could come home sooner! 🐈‍⬛

Saturday evening approximately 10p.m. I took some trash out and noticed a tiny kitten just trucking down the street towards me. She was alone and I ran inside to get food and water. When I came back out she was attempting to cross International Speedway Blvd near the beach. I took her in to keep her for the night as I already have a 12 year old male cat. I took her to Halifax at noon when it opened and the receptionist was most kind and caring. I know they will be able to place this little cutie for adoption. She was a social and friendly little cat. They handle the intake process quickly and easily.
