I bought my baby Nemo to Doctor J because Nemo was having issue breathing and other issues and Doctor J took my baby yesterday kept him for two days treated him and my baby is still with me going on four years old. Thank you so much for being there for my baby. I would like to get the medical record cause I live in Arizona now and the vet over here would like to know Nemo’s history. Does anyone know how I can get those medical records?

I've been going to the Animal Health Center for 20 years. They have cared for my three cats exceptionally. When two of my cats had to put to sleep, one due to an aggressive cancer and the other due to extremely old age, they showed such sympathy and compassion that I had no questions who was going to take care of the newest member of our family.

Dr Johnson is the best and most caring vet. We were so grateful to have found him as many people do not specialize in small pets. He has taken the best care of both of my guinea pigs for years now and I couldn't be more thankful. Whenever there is an issue he gets them in right away.

I am writing to express how disappointed I was with my experience with Animal Health Clinic. We brought our 7-month-old puppy in and was told she had displaced hips for which we wouldn’t be able to afford the $11,000 or more it would cost to get her fixed. Even knowing we couldn’t afford the hip surgery, they wanted to do x-rays that would cost up to $700. While we were there, we were told they were going to run a blood panel and didn’t explain what it would be for. I was under the impression it was to check her liver or something like that since she had no strength or muscle in her back legs. Within the hour after our appointment, I had talked to Dr. Johnson, and it was decided that the best thing to do for Luna was to euthanize her and I would set up the appointment for the following week. Even though it was decided that Luna was to be euthanized, they still charged us and ran the tests for lyme, heartworm, etc which was completely unnecessary under the circumstances. The day we brought Luna in, I asked Dr. Johnson a question about the process of euthanasia and asked if she should be sedated. It was obvious that it was irritating to him, and he snidely exclaimed loudly so that we could hear to the staff that you might have to wait a half hour because we might want her sedated. Luckily the euthanasia went without any incident, that I am very grateful for. We then paid to have her individually cremated. I have had a couple of dogs that have passed away, one of old age and one of cancer and we always got the ashes back in beautiful wooden boxes. When I went to pick up Luna’s ashes, I was shocked to see that she was in a white cardboard box and inside was shredded paper from their machine that was put in the box to fill up space. If I had been told how she would be returned, I would have taken her somewhere else that was professional. It is deceptive to not tell your client that their beloved animal will be returned in a cardboard box only with shredded paper, especially when I paid the same price at their clinic that I did at another clinic that returned my dogs to me with footprints, a certificate and in a beautiful wooden box. I was told that she was in a cardboard box because the place that does the cremation doesn’t have a lot of money … well that doesn’t excuse it. They should be set up with a company that does the services that we pay for when we request cremation. At the very least, they should be honest with their clients and tell them how their pet is going to be returned to them, so they have the option to go elsewhere for a more professional service. To us, their actions just seemed money motivated, it seems they got lost somewhere on the way if their intention to becoming a veterinarian was to help animals.

Made an appointment on the phone for my great dane. Verified all details with staff prior to arrangements and was given an appointment. Staff knew the size of my dog and even gave me pricing before hand. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that the facility does not have staffing or facilities to care for large breed dogs in the first place. Nothing was done to remedy the situation and staff didn't even apologize for the inconvenience and waste of my time. AVOID this vet if you have a large breed dog, and seek a better facility that doesn't lie to the consumer. Very unprofessional.

Dr. Johnson is an amazing vet! He has treated the animals I have brought to him the way I would want someone to treat a family member in the hospital. I brought him my Guinea Pig Pat that was having a tough time after being neutered and he came in on an off day and looked after Pat and made sure to start him an antibiotics within an hour of calling him. And he didn't charge me a single dollar for the emergency care! I couldn't believe it, when I asked how much it would cost to leave him overnight he said' "I'm not worried about that, I'm just worried about Pat right now." I thought that meant I would be paying a ton but he literally meant he didn't care about the money but just making sure Pat was okay. I have moved to several states due to work and he is the first vet I have had in a years that really cares for animals above profit. Easiest 5 star review I have given!
