We adopted our dog Peter from here 8 years ago and we adopted Bella from here 7 years ago. They had beautiful manners, were housebroken, fully socialized loving pups. We love them. They love and care for their animals. Peter and Bella were there for years. This is a wonderful place. if they don’t answer the phone, they are caring for their animals.

I had to call 6 times over the course of a day for someone to even answer the phone and when she did answer I simply asked if she was taking any dogs at the moment and she said what city? I answered Anniston and she continued to inform me that they no longer work with Anniston. I simply asked okay ...which cities do y'all work with? She replied with "not Anniston I said you need to take them to animal control". Then she wanted to inform me they've been open over 40 years ...in that case you'd think they could actually take animals instead of turning them all away to be put down and actually hire people who are able to answer simple questions without getting frustrated and refusing to help . Just sad

My cat has been missing for 2 months now and I ran across a pic of him on adopt a pet and it said he was at this place so I tried calling to NO AVAIL so I have emailed and been told this is not my cat...well THIS IS MY CAT...I've raised him myself sonce he waa 2 wweks old...I'm goung to the police tomorrow and go get my cat

For two days I have tried calling and reaching out to try and adopt a dog that I saw on petfinder. The email from petfinder has not been responded to unlike every other shelter that had a dog I was interested in. Each time that I have tried calling their phone it has gone straight to voicemail with no option to leave a message since their "voicemail box is not set up". I would have no problem leaving a message so that a visitation could be set up, however I do not even have that option when I can not get through to the shelter. I understand that they are understaffed and a full capacity shelter but if the process to adopt was easier or more achievable to even view the dogs they might have a higher adoption rate.

Very grateful they were able to accept the mamma cat and he kittens. However they kept asking if she was mine. Despite many attempts to reassure that she wasnt mine, they finally let me leave but not before they acted as if I was lying.

I called and was met with a reluctant "hello?" I immediately felt like I was unwelcome just for calling. I feel sorry for the animals, a rude attitude can deter business.
