I adopted my new furbaby from them a couple days ago. The ladies who mainly run the place are very nice. I can tell they along with the other volunteers truly care about these animals. I'm proud to say there is atleast one no kill shelter in my area. The adoption process was actually a joy. Very quick and easy. I highly recommend adopting and not shopping! It feels great knowing you are saving lives. Pickette's has paired with the League to help with adoptions. Adoption prices are already reasonable but Pickette's has made getting a new furbaby even cheaper! Pickette's will pay for $50 of your adoption fee and you get a one time offer of a free name tag, 20% off pet supplies, and 10% off pet food. The shelter is kept clean and the animals don't seem stressed. They are always trying to raise awareness, money, and new homes. I think the League does the best they possibly can. I love my Twiggy and I'm so glad I adopted her from the League For Animal Welfare!

I had to go to court . My animals were supposed to be taken over night . I was supposed to show them i had a good place for them which i did . I was given a card . I called repeatedly. No answer ever no voice mail setup the email was also not valid . They recently made her resign . I called after and no body knew where or what they played she'll game i was later told they were sold . The judge ruled before i had a chance to address couldn't find out who he was to write or ask him about this . That dog was my rescue and my trained med asst. This should have never happened i gave my permission with the code officer promising i would get them back . That was also not true i wrote emails . Contacted a journalist who knew more than me . It was a absolute hell and still a year and a half later i cry nightly and see her face when i put her in the dog catchers vehicle . I will never give the city or the courts or the prank call that lead to this and definitely will never give my support to this place . This is not even the worst that this city has done to me still i hope all these corrupt and agenda lead people are found out only a matter of time .

They asked me to pay an intake fee for finding a stray kitten on the side of the road and wanting to drop it off. With that being said, if any of you are interested in a kitten, please let me know me.

I love how they really care about the animals they cross paths with ... they are truly there for the animals. I really couldn't say enough about this place to display it's full awesomeness and how caring and concerned they are for the animals ... Love this place and how they treat all animals. I even visited our new family member (we have pre-adopted him too young to leave his mommy yet ) they let us visit with and play with all the kittens they are just wonderful. Period.

In January I adopted two dogs into my home. A Chihuahua mix and a fiest mix. They have been a blessing. When I walked into the place of business you can tell they love these animals and really want to help. They made it very comfortable and the prices were reasonable. Thankyou for the experience and mainly for my awesome doggys..

Called them to ask if they could help with a cat we rescued. She is pregnant and it gets down to 30 degrees at night. We didn't want her to give birth outside and something to happen to her. The lady on the phone was INCREDIBLY rude, rushed through a bunch of questions and then when I said she was pregnant, the lady said "no,no,no,no" with an attitude and then said "have a good day." And hung up. I used to trust this place, but not anymore.
