We are so thankful to have him in our family and appreciate ease of the adoption process as well as the cleanliness of the humane society building and how well the animals were clearly cared for. 10/10 service from this excellent society, my girlfriend and I just got our first dog Diego today and couldn’t ask for a better well behaved dog! He is only one year old and they took the time to potty train him, he sits on demand and shakes your hand! Never thought I’d get a dog from a society who pre trains them! They were all very nice and respectful and even threw in a few dog toys, food and treats if I ever need a dog again I will 100% go back thank you all :)

I found my sweet dog Flower here at the kissing booth event the shelter had. Throughout the adoption process, the staff were very kind and helpful. You can definitely tell that the staff love and care for the animals very well. The office was also very helpful when it came to helping direct me with my wheelchair so i could attend the valentines event struggle-free. Safe to say i'm a very proud supporter of the humane society and recommend them to anyone looking for their new companion.

We got a great cat for our family. We all love her to death her name is eggnog. Staff was really great in helping us, and they were open when it was -40 outside. Great job and thank you guys.

Below is my original review. I want to say that Stacy, the Executive Director of the Humane Society in Kalispell, has since contacted me to profusely apologize for my bad experience with them. She has only been there for 2 years, but has decades of experience in this field, so I am confident she will do what it takes to prevent my awful experience from happening to others. Keep reading if you want to know what happened to me. Original post: Horrific experience when trying to return my rescue dog to the place I got her from. It is a very difficult decision to rehome a dog, but we tried working with the best dog trainer in the Valley and spent months and almost $1,000 doing so. In the end, she was still reactive to my grandkids, not to mention a variety of other anxiety-related issues. When I arrived and told the 2 women at the front desk why I was there, they immediately treated me like a Nazi war criminal - very cold attitudes, abruptly telling me the person I needed to see wasn't there. One of the women simply walked away (an older lady with grey hair). I asked when the Manager would return and was told 1 p.m. I said I'd come back then, to which they said not to bother. Just call her, because they had no room for my dog. They had zero compassion for me or my dog, just a snotty, cold attitude with no desire to help me figure out what to do. I will NEVER EVER recommend this place to anyone. With such cold, arrogant women running the front desk, they can have it. Some people shouldn't work with animals or people! If these workers treat people this way, I can only imagine how they treat innocent animals who can't talk to tell their stories. When I left the Humane Society, I drove to the Flathead Co. Animal Shelter, my experience was 200% different - they understood why I made this hard decision, made time for me, went out of their way to find a place for my dog a few days later, and reassured me I was doing the right thing. Samantha at Flathead Co. was especially sweet and caring.
