Animal Care Associates is one of the few veterinary services in the Charleston- Huntington area that treat exotic pets. Thanks to their diligent and attentive work with my rescue pet Green Iguana, my pet is a happy and healthy animal living his best life, eating freely after suffering a painful illness. Five stars ! The love my puppy received there was incredible. They made sure she got everything she needed to live a healthier life. While we were there we saw the care they put into ALL their animals. The care for the families who had to put their loved one down … it was all bittersweet. I highly recommend for the area! We are glad to be apart of the Animal Care Associates family !

I am in tears tonight as I found the card sent in by their staff after having my ferret euthanized there a few weeks prior. Thank you again, to those that stayed by my Stinky during the process when i couldn't be. It broke my heart to not be able to be with him, but i know that the staff; despite euthanasia probably being more of a routine, care about the animals they work with. Thank you, Animal Care Associates for both taking care of my baby and I throughout his life and at the time of his death. I will forever be so thankful for each of you.

I found an injured Wood Thrush at our door this morning, having lost its tail in an apparent struggle with a cat. After wrapping it in a soft cloth, storing in a cat carrier with seed and water and covering the carrier with a towel, I took the bird to Animal Care Associates. They were very prompt, kind and courteous. There is no charge to take in an injured animal, but they do rightly ask for donations if you can. Ironically, I got nowhere with my local DNR office, but another State agency I called in error gave me the phone number of a wildlife rescue in Eastern WV. It was only through them did I find the local liaison, Animal Care Associates in Charleston, WV. I received a free cat comb from their lovely office, filled with animal artwork of all types and a beautiful aquarium. I applaud them heartily.
