I had the pleasure of visiting the Edmond Animal Shelter recently, and I must say, it was a heartwarming experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces from the staff. The staff at the Edmond Animal Shelter was exceptional, and they went above and beyond to make our visit a memorable one. They were knowledgeable, patient, and answered all our questions. They even provided us with so much information and resources to get our puppy started. The shelter itself was very clean and well-maintained. The animals were all healthy, happy, and well taken care of. It was clear that the staff takes great pride in their work and is passionate about what they do. We were fortunate enough to adopt a puppy from the shelter, and the process was seamless. The staff made sure we had everything we needed, including food, toys, and medical records. They even gave us tips on training and caring for our new furry friend. Overall, I highly recommend the Edmond Animal Shelter to anyone looking to adopt a pet. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and they truly care about the animals in their care. They provided us with an excellent experience, and we are so grateful for all their help.

They are supposedly a non kill shelter however they are putting my stray dog ( whom me and my neighbors took care of for months) down. I have been crying nonstop all day. This is animal cruelty. I would never send a dog to this shelter EVER. They claim he can not be adopted. BUT, he slept inside my house and lived peacefully with my two other dogs. He is the sweetest dog I know. MULTIPLE families have offered to adopt and work with him, but they are still putting him down. Also they will not even let my family say goodbye to him. PLEASE DO NOT EVER SEND A DOG HERE. I would give them 0 stars if I could ( this is the dog. His name is Murphy.)

For being a pound, this is a top-notch facility. The dog’s pens are always clean, and the animals are well taken care of. The service provided by the shelter staff is exceptional. They are extremely helpful and kind. I’ve adopted three different animals from here over the past 13 years and never had any regrets. Saving the life of a pet while paying such a small adoption fee that includes neuter/spay, vaccines and any necessary tests and post-adoption exam (if needed) is such a great deal! I just adopted a kitten yesterday and couldn’t be more pleased with her and the entire experience!

We've recently adopted a wonderful dog and the sweetest cat from this shelter. The application process was easy and the $25 adoption fee for each was definitely worth it! The staff is super friendly and helpful. 10/10. Would absolutely recommend!
