I have a very good experience from the response call I got from my email I sent due to my ferret becoming lost. Very friendly and treated me kindly. And they took good care of my little guy.believe they even clipped his nails and didn't even charge me !!!! THANKS LADY FOR THE GOOD Experience !!
I am both an adopter and a volunteer for this shelter. Despite some reviews you see and the bad press of the past, the organization I see now is beyond reproach. The people that work there (most days only two) give the utmost care. They know the pets and sometimes their past. They help volunteers learn how to help the animals get past behavioral issues and work with them personally when they have a spare moment. They do the very best with what they have and that comes from someone who served their country and knows what that means. They display excellence in what they do under many times very difficult circumstances and despite a job that can be thankless and hard their effort and care is always for those who don’t have a voice.
I know several people who have claimed their missing cat and also a dog and the cofas adopted them out and acted as if it were no big deal, talk about heartless,so big thumbs down to this place!👎 It's a city. Your animal is in safekeeping. Do not trust it. There was no such thing as safekeeping they will give you a date to pick your animal up but before you arrive. They will adopt them out,
I adopted a fabulous fur baby..shelter name was Ferry..he is now Oliver "Ollie".. we are in love and I think he loves his new home.
We had our dog for 5 years, and had to rehome him for many reasons. We found a home with someone and she had to go out of town for a family emergency. During this time, that dog had escaped from her home and was taken to COF. They posted the pictures of the dog online and someone mentioned that we had tried rehoming the dog and COF reached out to me and asked me a question about my rehoming post. I got a hold of the girl who adopted our dog from us a few days later and she said she would call COF as soon as she could to claim the dog. Despite COF seeing my online post about rehoming the dog, they lied about his age when it said on my original post how old the dog was and his breed. And I said in messages that the girl was going to get a hold of them when she had the chance. They adopted out the dog thr first second they could regardless and now the lady is absolutely devastated. I feel like they showed some true colors trying to lie about his age and not taking what I told them about the dog into consideration. I will let everyone I know how sketchy they are and I hope they get new rules or management because they are garbage who don't seem to truly care about the pets getting to the right home or back to the right owners.
We had been looking for the right dog for our family for two years. Harriet has been an amazing addtion to our family. She is in training to be a therapy dog. We were very lucky to get her.
