My Wife and I visited the sanctuary last week. All I can say is WOW! Never did I assume that such a place existed, let alone in my area. If you have any interest at all in cats, this place will amaze you. Trust me, the website doesn’t do it justice. How could it? It’s truly a place you need to “experience”. From the quiet, remote location to the sprawling grounds loaded with brightly colored and thoughtfully decorated buildings, there’s a lot to see. And of course, there’s the cats. And lots of the! We were told there were over 160, not including kittens! Seems like a lot of cats but as you walk around the grounds, you never feel like the place is anywhere near overrun. Matter of fact, it’s just the opposite. They have such a large area where the cats are free to roam, you sometimes almost wonder where they all are! Besides the striking scale of the place, the first thing that you notice is how clean everything is. The grounds, the buildings (inside and out) are immaculate! The volunteers that take care of this place are so friendly and engaging but they’re obviously very hard workers because as I said, this place is IMMACULATE. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a visit. Even if you have no interest in adopting a cat, it’s an interesting experience and you just might find yourself wanting to help them out through volunteering and/or donating. Great people doing amazing work.
Went to the open house they had last weekend and what an amazing place! If only all shelters could be run this way with the kitties having plenty of space, places to sleep, and other cats to interact with. The cats having a "normal" environment definitely shows in their demeanor.
What a cat sanctuary should be! Calming, clean housing to live in with the choice to be outside. Places for people to sit. Just beautiful.
Caring Fields Felines Sanctuary is the place to go to adopt your next kitten or cat. I was blown away as soon as I drove on to the property. What these wonderful humans do and have been doing for 20 years for these cats is nothing short of amazing. Thank you guys for all you do, and for our sweet Nala (aka, Vanilla bean).
Double- edged sword..Thank the man upstairs that places like this exist...but having said that..it's run by a few people that are truly evil...they DO ask for a VERY large donation from people that, for whatever reason, cannot keep their cat(s)...when these poor people cannot pay the "fee"...what do you think happens to the cat?(hint, they get abandoned)..isn't that what they exist to do?! I think they care more about the $$, than the animals.. - a LOT of the kittens have issues...that management pretends is normal...only go there as a last resort..SMH
This place was awesome! I had thoughts of adopting a kitten for my son in the future and was wanting to expose him to some to see how he interacted with them. You could tell they were well cared for and the staff was more than helpful and willing to let us freely engage with the kittens. They allowed us to sit on the floor in a screened area and play with them. Prior to going, I spoke to Pauline on the phone but a woman named Gloria was on site the day we visited. ...They were both extremely accommodating and informative with the questions we had about the adoption process. I would definitely adopt from this establishment.
