I adopted my wonderful girl Trixie from Second Chance Animal Sanctuary in late May and it was awesome! I would recommend anyone looking for a forever friend to consider looking here. All of the animals are well cared for and loved. They always have new faces looking for a home, so if you don’t connect right away, don’t give up, it will happen!

I found our little guy online the day he went up on their site while I was at work, my spouse and I live in Colorado and it happened to be a Friday afternoon I text them the link of a dog named “Revolution” and said “he’s the one!”. My spouse and I had been looking for another rescue dog to adopt after losing one of ours to old age in April 2022. We finally felt ready and our other dog seemed sad being an only dog. We agreed to get in the car when I was off work and drive overnight to meet Revolution so we could be there right when they opened. We got there just before they opened and their staff was SO friendly and kind. They let me in to a meet and greet room, I went first since we had brought our other dog so they could meet. We eventually had the two meet, they let us use a fenced area outside to let them run around together. We knew we loved him right away, his name has been changed to Murphy and he’s been an absolute perfect addition to our family and he’s brought us so much joy and laughs. I knew that the people helping us were great people because of how excited Murphy was to see them as they came in to assist with paperwork, etc. I will forever look here first when we’re looking to add to our family and I would recommend looking here to anyone I know!

I have adopted 2 dogs from Second Chance over the course of 25 years. My fist was about 25 years ago and my sweet Gabriel lived to be 17 and was such a beautiful soul. Then we adopted Tempy about 5 years ago from Second Chance bc we were missing Gabe so much. And “sweet T” is everything we hoped for and more. Second Chance has always done good work with their dogs and have made the adoption process a great experience. I always recommend them to friends.

The people here are sweet as pie and were very thorough and courteous when we went in to look at a (now our) puppy. Their application process is efficient and thorough, as well, and they made sure to have us bring our original pup in for a meet and greet that they monitored before allowing us to adopt, which I appreciate and understand. The staff, again, were great. They all seemed to really care about the dogs and were genuinely so happy for our little pup. We've had her for a couple months now, and couldn't be happier.

We found our 2 new babies here recently! I really appreciate that the cats aren't in cages here and I also appreciate the discount when adopting 2 at once. We love our new furbabies. I can really tell the people here care about the animals. The only thing I'd suggest for them is to add some toys into the cat rooms and more soft places for kitties to lay on. Thank you for helping us adopt our new babies ❤️

Wonderful rescue shelter and adoption service. Our office did a volunteer event where we got to spend time with these lovely puppies here, plus many others. They do amazing work for these animals. They have dogs and cats of all ages come through. If you’re looking for a place to adopt a fur baby, please come check them out.
