Really enjoyed our visit to this animal shelter. Everyone was so nice and helpful. It was so cool that they had an entire wall of free supplies for your newly adopted pet. Our kitten is perfect 🩶🐾🐈‍⬛

I found 2 dumped puppies past 180th going east in norman ( which is still in NORMANS jurisdiction just not ANIMAL WELFARE) and was declined from bringing them in regardless of the fact that there is NOT a shelter in that area. So what do I do? I went ahead and got an email of an officer who said she'd help me get them adopted out or sent to a rescue, it's been over a week and NOTHING! I am allergic, and now im having to keep some pups because someone didn't want them anymore, and norman animal welfare declined me, and even told me the surrender line was over 200 people, but when my grandma called them, suddenly they take in dumped animals? yeah ok, honestly, if you won't help something IN NORMAN, just hang-up in my face next time. I absolutely hate being nasty as I've usually had good experiences with this shelter, but this one was just terrible.

Love my cat very much but she was experiencing heats and called them multiple times about it, but they gave a bunch of excuses about why she was acting that way. Then said even if she wasn't spayed they have no responsibility over that anymore, despite I was told by them that she was before adoption and how they say they are spayed/neutered beforehand on their site. Found out today after thinking she had a syndrome and even tested her for it that my cat actually had everything intact, never operated on, and was never spayed. Had a pretty bad experience overall because they refuse to believe they messed up in the first place, which lead to a lot of stress for my cat and I.

Honestly had a great experience at the norman shelter. Everyone was very friendly and helped us find the right fit for our family. Very clean facility too!

Employees are very rude and don’t seem to care at all. Prepare to be interrogated if you’re trying to help out a stray animal. They assume that you are a scumbag who abandons their pets that they’re tired of, and treat you accordingly. I would have taken the animals somewhere else if I had another choice. Felt horrible after I left and I didn’t even do what they were accusing me of doing (and eventually acquitted me of??) The lady randomly started being nice right before we left. It was too late. I felt horrible about leaving the animals with these people. Also be ready to wait outside with the animal for 15 minutes while they do god knows what because there are several employees and no other civilians inside the lobby.

I went in after seeing a kitten online and made an appointment to go and see her on a Saturday afternoon. I was so glad that I did. I was able to meet the little kitten and interact with her and decided right away that she was the one. The adoption process was so easy. The lady that helped me was kind and helpful. The price was very reasonable for what you get. We brought the kitten home and she fits right into our family. She is healthy, happy, and so lovable. We are so pleased. I would highly recommend them for your pet needs. I only went into the kitten rooms, but the rooms were very clean and well kept. There was not the overwhelming smell that can often hit you in places like this. It was very clean and organized. The entire experience was great. Thank you so much for our newest family member!
