Its owner, Dr. Terry Ford, spent the last 23 years building his last clinic, Maplewood Animal Hospital, literally from the ground up. Maplewood became an extremely busy, thriving practice with over 6000 clients. After selling that practice, Dr. Ford wanted to open a new one with the same outstanding quality care, but with a more personal approach.

If I could find the words to express my gratitude for Dr Ford and everything he's done for my entire family's pets, I'd never stop writing. For that reason, I'm keeping this kinda short If you have any hesitations, for any reason, about making Dr Ford your pet's doctor, I can assure you that you'll never find a doctor as committed to the health and well-being of your pet as he is. Until he retires, he's the only vet I'll ever take my cats to. The office staff are wonderful as well. Top to bottom, the best around.

I've worked in the veterinary industry for 7 years and 5 of those years was spent working for another local animal hospital. I would still bring my pets for their yearly vaccines at the hospital I used to work for, but over the past year the cost of vaccines there has become astronomical. I live in a two income no kid household where my pets are my everything and even we are having a hard time keeping up with their yearlys. That being said, I ran into my old co-worker, Lacie, who told me she was working here and how much she loved it. I scheduled my cat's yearly vaccines shortly after our conversation. Dr. Ford was absolutely not how I imagined and he exceeded my expectations. He was very kind and personable. Even though I worked in vet med for so long, he made sure to answer any questions I may have. He didn't treat me like I already knew everything and didn't over explain anything. My dog Theo was due for his pro-heart shortly after so we got on the books. Today, I met the practice manager, Angie (I think that was her name), and she is absolute angel. She apologized for the wait even though I was there maybe 20-25 minutes total. There was a lot going on this morning, but she made sure to greet everyone, check them in in a timely manner and take the time to go through each step with the new hire. I am SO glad I came here. I will definitely be a long time patient with this hospital and would recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality care at a reasonable cost.

I love Dr. Ford and his team! Thanks for saving my puppy’s life when he got into some Tylenol! They saw me right away and were so sweet.Dr. Ford genuinely cares about your animals and doesn’t over charge you for unnecessary procedures. Integrity is so hard to find these days but it is definitely at this place!

I’ve been going to Dr Ford for many years. He is very honest and reasonable. He doesn’t run unnecessary expensive tests. Him and his staff are very accommodating when you have an urgent concern with your furbaby! Best Friends Animal Clinic is the BEST!!!

I can't imagine needing to bring my pets any other place. Dr. Ford is amazing with my pets. The entire staff is nice and always concerned about my pets. The little girl in the photo loves being there after meeting him for the first time.
