My family found bam bam (now called Benito) here and he is the most sweetest and kind dog ever. We even got him fixed here with no complications or concerns. Thank you for helping us find our sweet baby
Love the volunteer program! Great to work with a no kill shelter. Worker Leo was extremely helpful and great to work with when coordinating my group volunteering! He definitely made the process a lot easier since I was confused about what was online
I hope you never find a stray and are in the district of league city. Their workers, especially the supervisor Eli, are extremely rude and not helpful at finding solutions for aggressive strays. I’m thankful for the actual animal control agent who came and retrieved the dog, the dispatcher for confirming I was in their district, but the city needs to assess who they are hiring for their workers. Eli and the woman who worked the “intake” area should not be working for the city, for the shelter- they showed absolutely no compassion for animals or their citizens.
Their so friendly and helpful, didn't have money for dog food. And was able to get food, now this doesn't happen ever month but I'm happy I was able to get assistance. Thanks guys it's really appreciated 🙏🏾 😊
I absolutely love this facility. They are always friendly and have volunteers to help with anything you need while you visit and they truly care about the animals and where they go for their forever homes. These people are blessings in the lives of so many animals that need that second chance and they are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure they get it. The patience and love from the employees and volunteers at League City Animal Shelter is like no other and these animals are so fortunate to be helped by such kind people that obviously have a passion for their work. Keep it up guys, it shows and you are all very appreciated! I've adopted animals from here and will continue to do so when ever we can welcome a new pet to our home.
The people that I have met working there are pretentious and lack every basic skill universally used in human interaction. Once I walked in and the unbathed man at the desk literally just blinked at me, he seemed totally bothered by my presence. On a seperate occasion, I picked up our sweet rescue kittens after surgery, I asked the lady how her day was and she exasperatedly reacted as if I just personally offended her. They adopt out sick animals, our kittens came home with respiratory infection that needed antibiotics. Once, another unkempt and homely man from there came furiously to my house because of a false report. He had a chip on his shoulder when he banged on my door, his attitude was unbelievably unprofessional, not to mention I could smell his breath from inside my house. He was throwing around vile accusations and got flustered and threatened to take me to court Im guessing because I didnt appear scared enough for his liking. All of them need to consider chilling out. Some people can't handle having any authority and those yahoos up there are the prime example. As for my kittens, they are thriving and we absolutely made the best decision to adopt and get them away from that filthy shelter.
