I cannot recommend this place enough. I adopted Mya (now Melinoë) back in early August, though I had been in communications with their sister rescue (Cat Tales Cat Rescue) since July. Everyone there is a darling and with a $150 adoption fee (+$10 or so with the application fee) you get a fully vaccinated, fixed, healthy kitty AND a free bag of cat food + cat litter. You can’t get a deal better than that at any other rescue. While the cat cafe is more peaceful than your typical shelter, I must warn potential adopters that the cat you meet at the cafe may not be the cat you have at home. Melinoë was a bit reserved and aloof at the cat cafe, swatting at any cats she didn’t like, but when she got adjusted at home she became a totally different cat in the best way possible. She follows me wherever I go and is the best cuddle bug at night. I think being the queen of the house really brought out her confidence. Do not have any doubts about adopting from Cat Tales Cat Cafe!

We went for a bachelorette day, and I was under the impression the price included a drink… apparently that was not the case. The kitties were awesome and the workers were kind. It would be nice if this was more of a Internet cafe style instead of a set time allowed

100% worth a visit. Best cat cafe I've been to. Pretty relaxed on rules, small group sizes, lots of cats, toys, entertainment. Live in the area, will certainly return. If I adopt a cat in the future, I'll do my best to make sure they're from cat tales!

What a wonderful place to visit! It's extremely easy to book a reservation online for your group. While you're not allowed to pick up the cats there are plenty of toys available to play with them. Their names and pictures are posted on the upper floor and whether or not they are pending adoption. I booked an hour for my group and it was great.

I absolutely love this cat cafe! It was the best experience with super friendly staff and a fantastic environment to meet and interact with the cats. Can’t wait to come back! 😍

We didn't know what to expect but our visit was amazing!!! The rules and the environment really let you know the cats are comfortable and safe. For me, it was a relaxing visit with the cats. Some were playful and some were not. That's okay, the cats had spaces for retreat if they didn't want to play or interact. plenty of toys for the cats to interact with them. The staff provided great information and education about cats. We have one cat at home. When I questioned about a particular behavior of our cat, she offered a information that really seemed to explain our cat's behavior. Next time we are back in Chapel Hill, we will revisit
