Very loving and compassionate bird rescue. Only looking for the best with their babies. Very happy to have met the amazing owner. We were matched with the sweetest loving baby.

called after hours about a wild rescue and they answered. Gave me contact info to rehab and save my wild female common robin I'm cuddled next to in a nest box to keep warm. She was in town on the sidewalk hungry and dehydrated, she's taking food now thou. Awesome folks, when we get a bird of our own, first people I'm calling. Cheers guys.

I traveled 10 hours round trip and spent 4 hours with multiple birds. Sandy encouraged me to show the birds “who is boss”. In any relationship, including with birds, I believe that it takes time to gain trust and you should never force yourself on anyone or anything. Sandy didn’t seem to agree with that approach. Allowing her birds to get used to me, I took my time and bonded with multiple birds. As I was there a couple who had adopted in the past were visiting with their parrots. Their Amazon lunged at its owner and latched onto the bridge of her nose between her eyes and had to control the bleed post bite. She was handling the birds the way Sandy taught her to. After 4 hours, Sandy said that her policy was not to allow adoption on the first visit, so home I went greatly disappointed. I called Sandy the following Thursday and Sandy informed me that I did a great job with the birds and that she just wanted to make sure that I was serious. ( how much more serious do you have to be than taking a 10 hour round trip)? Regardless, Sandy said that the choice of birds would be mine once I returned. Sandy only asked that If it didn’t work out, that I’d promise to return the bird to her. I made that promise. My son took the day off work to take the next 5 hour drive. I bonded with a parrot named Gwen during that visit. After approx 3 hours Sandy asked, “which bird are you interested in”. I responded, “ I really love Gwen”. Sandy’s response was, she’s not for adoption. At that point I asked, “which birds are adoptable”? Sandy’s response was “none right now”. I reviewed our phone conversation from the prior Thursday and all she’d respond was, “I’m sorry”. I found Sandy to be quite good with the birds, but a dishonest human being. Listening to the conversations of other adoptive families, it sounded as if folks had to make several visits over a 6 month time span. I really wished that Sandy would’ve been more honest with me.

Amazing rescue. I really enjoyed my one on one time with a pretty lovebird today. You can tell these birds are well cared for based on how socialized they are. The team here does a really good job with that. It was like being in a Disney movie when they fly up to your shoulder and sing.Volunteers took the time to explain the behaviors and background of each bird. I wish I knew of this place sooner! I'll be back!

DO NOT BOARD YOUR BIRD AT THIS FACILITY!!! I have been boarding my bird for 10 years at this facility. I boarded in parrot on August 5, 2023. I indicated it may be a couple weeks before I pick him up due being on vacation and son starting college in NJ. I have been there often enough over the years that Sandy and volunteers know my bird. Called to pick and indicated that I will be picking up my bird August 22, 2023. She said ok. Later that same day I get a call from her boyfriend that Skittles (C.Parrot) was “missing”. I questioned Sandy and her boyfriend on how this occurred because their facility is secure. They told me mixed stories …finger pointing ..ect. They don’t even remember when it happened!!! I don’t think they remembered he was in her care. I am soo traumatized! My bird must be traumatized/stressed as he was probably adopted out to another family WITHOUT CONSENT. !!! He doesn’t know people outside my family! Sandy oversees the adoptions- how can you not keep track of who is adoptable and who is there for boarding. So now my bird of 10 years is gone. It’s disturbing how they don’t remember and mix their stories up! This facility is not organized and it’s questionable on who is in charge. Adoptable birds are mixed in with birds that are being boarded!! I will truly never know the real story due to their changing stories, timelines, ect Reference: Susquehanna Township Police Department Police Report C-23-0017444.

Sandy is Amazing and is truly passionate about all the birds she has. Very clean environment. My daughter's loved it and were educated by Sandy. All cages were clean and every bird was happy. 2 surrenders came in while we were there and taken with no questions asked. Her process to place the birds with new owners is in place for a reason. It is very sad to see negative reviews because someone was denied a bird. Many beautiful, well taken care of birds in need of a forever home. ❤
