I had to put my 17 year old cat down, which was devastating. I was referred to Furkids to adopt my next kitty. The adoption process was seamless and Jennifer my adoption coordinator made it a pleasant experience. I had a bonded pair in mind and went to headquarters to visit them, the staff was amazing and showed empathy and compassion for the recent passing of my kitty. I was able to meet with the bonded pair of kitties that I saw online and they were the sweetest pair! I scheduled to come pick them up the following week and was sent home with a nice goody bag for them as well! I have to say that I adopted two of the sweetest kitties thanks to Furkids!

We visited this past Sunday to adopt a new friend. We were taken care of by Jennifer, who really took the time to get to know us and what kind of cat we were looking for. The entire staff was helpful and insightful during the process, and we left with our new friend Moon! The name was given by the shelter but we liked it so much we decided to keep it! I can’t recommend this shelter enough, it’s a little out of the way but worth it.

Absolutely incredible place! They do such an incredible job providing inspiring enrichment rooms for cats, and giving every cat a chance to have a loving and happy home. Their grounds are so peaceful and welcoming. Any donation will go to a great cause with Furkids!!

Fish ponds in the forest is not what I think of when I think of an animal rescue, but that's exactly what you get when you arrive at this picturesque campus situated together with Shiloh Gardens. The staff is friendly and caring and they even offer a monthly vaccination and microchipping clinic at very affordable costs. Proceeds go to help support their mission of rescuing homeless animals and providing them with the best medical care. While you're there, take a few minutes to stroll the grounds and view the beautiful koi ponds and fountains throughout. Shiloh Gardens is an event space available for weddings, celebrations of life, etc and proceeds also go to supporting this great cause. An excellent org across the board!

The process was fine and the majority of the employees were fine that’s why I gave the 1 star. However, due to health reasons I had to return both cats and upon return I was spoken to in a condescending manner by Deanna Woo-Alba. She yelled at me because I didn’t bring my id inside the store. I returned them to their Midtown location which I was told was halfway. Deanna said she was doing me a “courtesy”, someone who had a recent surgery to meet me at one of the locations anyways smh! When I went in with my 10 yr old son she said we were bad owners to return the cats. Deanna and the other Furkids employees so are based inside of PetSmart also talked disgustingly about other customers who returned cats. I feel it was unprofessional. We don’t go to doctors or attorneys and hear them speak ill of another in front of us so how is it ok for professionals in their field to do so? How is having had 1 major surgery and another 1 scheduled as a single mother who needs someone to watch her kids while she’ll be hospitalized but the person who will be watching her kids is allergic to cats so I had to return them make us bad owners?!?!?!? That is a subjective accusation! With a health issue such as mine the future could be in and out of the hospital. Which also means I’ll be away from my own kids yet I’m expected to keep cats I won’t be able to be with? That would’ve made me a bad owner not then if I kept them! While nobody owes me anything but I don’t understand how not one person wished me well with a major surgery and were insensitive about our reasoning for returning the cats. The representatives might be great with cats but they definitely need sensitivity training with humans!

Super rude staff here. I found an abandoned 3-4 week old kitten today and I am trying to find shelter that can take care of this little kitten to make sure it doesn’t pass away. The lady who I spoke to told me to “email them with a photo of the cat and why I had to surrender it and they would SEE if they can take it in”. I explained I’m not trying to surrender it..I’m trying to make sure it doesn’t die. She basically told me “too bad”, and then proceeded to refer me to a website for more assistance of local shelters in the area that could help me. Thanks for nothing, to be honest.
