Description At the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, we want to ensure the health and well-being of all animals in our care. Each year, more than 2,000 pets arrive at our shelter as stray animals. At the Humane Society of Boulder Valley (HSBV), we understand that at times people are no longer able to care for their pets due to living situations, allergies or other reasons. There are times when the human/animal bond breaks or circumstances change and a guardian must relinquish a pet. HSBV can help walk you through this process and discuss options with you.
I adopted my dog from the humane society of Fort Morgan,Co. I recently relocated to Boulder experiencing homelessness. My dog is registered with the ADA Service Dog registry for PTSD and seizures. He has been picked up once for running at large. He ran while I was removing his service vest and got distracted by a rabbit. I was able to be reunited with him through Boulder Valley Humane Society without a citation or fee.At that time I was able to make an appointment for his necessary vaccinations and counseltation on how to treat the presence of a tick in the skin.A pamyment plan was presented to me so I could pay the bill within my small budget. The time and effort that was put into treating my dog,and informing me how to care for my dog,was impressive.I am currently experiencing homelessness and there was no sign of judgement against the situation at hand. The main concern was the health and well-being of my dog.
