There aren’t really words to describe how much I enjoy this vet clinic. We had two back in San Diego—one awful and one incredible by sheer comparison. Heart + Paw is basically everything I didn’t know I wanted or needed in a vet. Dr. Kaselski was kind and compassionate in an incredibly stressful time for both me and my dog’s lives as we just moved here. I have been struggling with Fen’s diet & weight for some time now and was at the point of tears. I basically told her I gave up and needed help— I noticed she was very gentle in giving information about some common mistakes owners make with their pets without being judgmental. She offered multiple potential avenues to me before telling me we would try one at a time, because she realized I’m the kind of person who needs the full picture but also just needs to be told what to do. Fen is now having normal BMs and gaining healthy weight. ☺️They take excellent notes and give careful attention to your pets—I’ve only seen continuity of care like that in basically movies these days. The entire clinic is equally wonderful and professional, from their front desk and groomer to every single tech we’ve encountered. 💚

I can’t say enough good things about my recent experience at heart + paw! My 8 mo old Kittie had his first accident and hurt his eye playing. He was squinting and in pain. The next AM I called H + P because I needed a vet close to me and saw they had good reviews. My cat is adopted so other than the check ups after initial adoption I haven’t established a regular vet. H + R said they could squeeze us in at 11am and proceeded to spend 17 mins on the phone with me asking about his condition. I was blown away by that initial care. When we got to the office everyone greeted me warmly, immediately let me take him into a room to wait for the vet and get comfy. He explored the room a bit (he was very nervous) and when the tech and vet came in they gave him time to feel comfortable and warm up to them. He really loves the treats they had, too. After a very thorough exam we were sent home with pain meds and eye drops. His eye is perfectly cleared up after a week! They’ve texted me twice asking for pictures and checking in on him. I truly could not ask for better service. Exam and meds were under $200 and my kitty is happy and healthy.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Heart + Paw! The entire team is incredibly responsive, kind, and knowledgeable. They took the time to understand both of my dogs' needs (including one dog with severe anxiety), and Dr. K was instrumental in providing me with fantastic feedback and resources. Finding a vet you trust can be challenging, but I'm grateful to have found such a compassionate and caring team at Heart + Paw, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care!

I brought in a stray cat I'd been working on taming. He had gotten in a scuffle with one of the forest creatures and was in dire straights. The office was immaculately clean, the staff was friendly and professional, and Dr. Cabot was beyond thorough and has a very gentle aura. They were able to immediately accommodate an urgent care visit, there was no wait time when I arrived, they were very transparent about the costs, and kept me up to date throughout the treatment. While their services are slightly pricey, there's that old adage "You get what you pay for" and I have no problem paying a few percent higher than the median to get top notch care for my pets. The office immediately became my permanent vet.

We love Heart + Paw so much! From the day our alley cats decided they’d quite like to come inside and be our cats, Heart + Paw had taken incredible care of our felines. Neither my wife nor I were very familiar with being cat parents l, and Heart + Paw had been there for us every step of the way - and they’ve done it with incredible care and kindness! From bladder crystals to flea prevention to tooth removal, our cats have gotten impeccable care from Dr. K, Dr. P, and all the staff at Heart + Paw. Everyone there truly cares about the animals and the pet parents who come to them for care.
