We adopted a sweet and super playful, one-eyed kitten. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they seem to be a bit understaffed since we had to wait TWO HOURS for our interview. We are very happy with our newest family member, though. 😀
MD SPCA gave me a best friend, Max! He is the sweetest, most curious boy. We’ve had him for 6 months and he’s a huge part of our family. The adoption process was so smooth and quick. I applied and did a phone interview. A few days later, we did a meet-and-greet and we took him home that day. The staff was so kind, caring, and helpful. His foster mom gave us so much food, treats, and toys for Max. I am so grateful to the SPCA for all of the amazing work that they do for animal welfare. ❤️
We picked up our cat here. They are friendly and very helpful. If you're searching for a pet please come to the spca. This is Jelly Bean she's so wonderful! Our first cat, Coffee Bean, was a bit weird with her at first but loves her too!
Everyone here is so warm, kind, and helpful. If I could, I would adopt all the doggies and kitties!!! I have attended a number of different events throughout the years held by MDSPCA, and my parents have adopted my fur brother doggy from here in 2015. I attended the first Purrfest event, and I became a first-time cat mom! 🐈 The process went smoothly. The staff takes time and pairs you and your family with the perfect fur friend. The adoption counselor Alicia was pleasant to work with and provided a wealth of info, and the support from staff does not stop the minute you take your friend home. They are there to answer questions about anything you may have missed. My new housemate is slowly coming out of her shell and adjusting quite well so far. 🤗 I'm a happy cat mom, you can say!
We love Bella so much! Thank you SPCA she’s awesome and we love her so much. Thank you guys for taking good care of her when you had her, we’ll do the same here
I went to the Maryland SPCA in January of 2024 to get to of my kittens neutered I wasn’t sure of the sex for one. They fixed one for 40.00 lied to me about the other because they didn’t want to do their job for some reason. They also told me it was a girl when it was a boy and said he had runny eyes and nose which was a straight up lie! I had to take my kitten back home not fixed and pay a vet 200.00 to fix him. I gave 2 stars because they fixed the other cat. When I donate money it’s definitely going to BARCS!!! My cat wasn’t even sick. The vet fixed him with no problem!!
