My family and I have adopted 3 dogs from the shelter one we lost to cancer the other 2 are living their best life. Please support these guys and think about adopting over buying puppy. They all need forever homes

Although I would like to give this shelter the benefit of the doubt, the situation that happened to me is just truly unacceptable. I met and adopted a sweet 8 month old kitty on Thursday and was set to pick her up on Tuesday after her spay. I received a call this morning (Sunday) stating she had been mistaken for another cat and was euthanized. I write this to bring awareness to others and also bring accountability to this shelter. Thank you

The customer service was good as we had to take Gabby back as she was not a good fit for us. They took her back with a smile and has put her name in the adoption list.

This staff from Jaime, the director all the way over to the team who handles the quarantine or the ones who handle adoptions or lost and found or citations or animal attacks or even the team answering the phones! Every one who I have ever encountered are some of the most beautiful people I have ever had the pleasure to deal with! They are each compassionate, they each go out of their way to help their community members, understanding is an understatement, always a step ahead, non judgmental and extremely knowledgeable of their craft. There is 1 who really stands out… Senior Officer Cassandra R. has always been extremely knowledgable, compassionate and of the utmost help to me! I thank you all for your service, dedication and integrity! Animal Services is 1 of Plano’s shining stars!!

Eight years ago when I adopted Stormie, I was so incredibly pleased with the shelter and the staff at the Plano Animal Shelter. Everyone was friendly and accommodating and happy to see an animal have a good loving home. Such was not the case yesterday when I had intended to adopt a bonded pair of cats. The staff was rude and not welcoming in the least. I left that shelter empty-handed and will be going elsewhere where it will be a pleasant experience to adopt and the staff will be encouraging the adoption and happy for the animals and their new family.

Plano animal services center is honestly the best shelter in Texas. The staff is mostly volunteer but dedicated and seriously committed to the welfare of the animals in their care. We commend them for the work they do.
