Really great service and very great stuff and Dr. Vardi is the best and very caring vet I met I couldn't be more thankful.... I brought my sunny to get neutered and the poor thing was just a little out of it when I came to get him but that's normal since he just had a procedure now he is completely healed and happy as well as I am for finding shelter veterinary they were really nice and also very throughout when explaining the at home care after the visit gave me in depth details about the medications to give my kitty very well explained they couldn't have told us any clearer so I do recommend them. I will be coming back soon to get sunny's mama fixed along with his sisters. :-) keep the great work Shelter veterinary!!!
Me and my wife adopted 6 dogs 🐕 from this shelter so far! Anything from chihuahua, 2 pomeranians, am staff Elvis, lb husky Brody and the new addition to the family! Mr Matrix, siberian husky puppy 80lb!!! 😍🤣 people please donate to help these good people to take care of these poor doggies and kittens!!! God bless
I have had two cats altered here and they both came through in excellent condition. They accept free vouchers and for an additional charge also offer take home pain meds, take home antibiotics, IV fluids during surgery, blood work, and shots. I opted for the take home pain meds and antibiotics as that was what I could afford. The staff is generally very nice and fair when busy, they see people in the order they sign in. The veterinarian is experienced and if you call in with an emergency he will try to help if he can but keep in mind this is a small & very busy clinic. All in all I do recommend taking your cats & dogs here, at the least for their spay/neuter surgeries, shots and regular checkups.
AVOID! I unfortunately ended up here due to an emergency situation. Dr. V has terrible bedside manner, is rude, and not compassionate. After bringing my cat in for an emergency, I was immediately reprimanded by the doc for not bringing her in for check-ups. While I understand that this should've been the case earlier on, it didn't change the situation. Due to the nature of the emergency, I was visibly scared and crying for my sweet fur baby. However, rather than first addressing my cat's needs, aka THE REASON FOR MY VISIT, I was reprimanded for the reason listed above, making me feel so helpless. There's a proper time and a place for everything. When a patient is visibly distraught in an emergency situation, reprimanding and scolding them is neither the time nor place to do so! Tangential to this, even the way he handled my cat was just too aggressive. I think my cat was able to sense that she didn't feel comfortable there or around him. Please avoid stress on yourself and just drive a few more miles down the road to Sepulveda Animal Hospital, where the staff and doctors are immensely professional, yet don't lose sight of humanity. There, you'll find kindness, compassion, and care from the moment you walk in, to how the doctors and staff treat your sweet fur babies. Even my cat was noticeably more calm with the doctor and staff at the Sepulveda Animal Hospital! I hope this helps someone who may be in the situation I was in.
It's not my first choice to take my dog to. But after waiting an extended amount of time. The Vet. Dr. Vetter he was actually very informative and patient with my question
The visit was surprisingly quick. My dog needed to get several shots / vaccines and we were in and out in approximately 20 minutes. The staff was ultra friendly and the Dr very nice. It was also the only place around that could get us in in under a weeks time. The pricing is also very reasonable. Parking in their lot can be a challenge as it was full and I had to wait a bit to grab a stall.
