Description "Founded in 1998, Help For Homeless Pets is a volunteer, no-kill, non-profit organization. Help us find them a forever home!"
We adopted Fluffy, a border collie mix, from help for homeless pets on Friday Oct 18th 2024. We had an awesome experience! Everyone was welcoming and knew all the pets by name. I don't know how they manage. Fluffy is the sweetest dog. Some one sponsored her to get spayed and that cost was knocked off the price. I can tell that all the people care deeply for all the animals there. I highly recommend Help for homeless pets. They need more volunteers! My hat is off to all the staff and care givers!!!
I adopted my Thomas from HHP in 2013, after my elderly kitties died. Angie let me in after hours due to my work schedule. She was straight forward about Thomas having chronic stomatitis, and the implications of that. As my Skidderz had had that, I took Thomas. I took my vets advice and did get all of his teeth pulled, and he was a happy loved boy. He left us from soft tissue sarcoma in 2022. He had a great loved life..thank you HHP❤❤
Don't waste your time coming here! My two daughters and I came here looking to adopt a kitten. I asked a younger gentleman who worked here if they had any kittens available and he said "yes" and said it was okay to look around. While looking at the kittens my daughters and I encountered a older woman that could barely speak english. This woman was very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional! She even had the nerve to put her hands on my daughter! I would strongly not recommend this place to anyone looking to adopt a pet! There is no communication between staff, dogs and cats walking around unsupervised, the shelter is filthy and the staff unprofessional! I would highly recommend Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter for anyone looking to adopt a pet. The shelter was clean and the staff was very friendly, professional and answered all my questions.
I volunteered to help a lady I met a couple days prior with her stray cat population at her house. The kittens and cats were sick, hungry, and dehydrated. The owner of this property tried to keep up with the animals needs, but due to her own health conditions, she could not. I contacted several shelters, volunteers, and animal control in Billings. I learned very quickly there were not many places I could turn to for help until I contacted Help for Homeless Pets. This shelter helped take care of some of the tame cats while also giving me contact information of other volunteers to help me trap the other stray cats. It was a very tough navigating and advocating for these animals, but I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the help from Help for Homeless Pets! Thank you for all of your kindness!!
My partner and I adopted Squirrel in January 2021, and our little gal is the sweetest cuddle-bug we could ever hope for: she loves scratches, snacks, and her Pickle buddy (pictured). She came home to us with no health problems. The Help for Homeless Pets team was helpful and supportive during our adoption, even setting us up with a homecoming goodie bag of treats and toys that helped our furry pal quickly acclimate to her new environment. 'Can't imagine life without this sweetheart, and I highly recommend Help for Homeless Pets!
Adopted a 6 week old kitten. One of the sweetest kitties! Very loving, confident and comfortable with people and other pets. She has definitely been well cared for. She even comes to me after I feed her her favorite food, puts her paws on my face and put her nose up to my mouth like a kiss, purring, thanking me! Would highly recommend, they do all they can to help these pets!
