Description We are a 100% volunteer-based non-profit 501(c)3 organization established by a group of women whose lifelong passion is the prevention of cruelty to animals. We rescue and provide general and medical care to neglected, abused and abandoned animals & place them in loving homes or provide sanctuary until they find their forever homes. We network and help other area rescues and overrun animal shelters and also educate the community on the importance of spaying/neutering their pets.

We will forever be grateful to Sherri, Dawn, and all the folks who keep GoFar up and running❣️ When I went to pick up our sweet little Miss MimiRu, I was able to meet Mango and a few other sweet pups who had endured horrific abuse in their past and would not be alive if not for GoFar! It was easy to see they ALL were happy, healthy, and felt safe❣️ They will forever carry some physical scars from people who are just plain evil in this world, but their wounds have been healed and they know they are now loved. It was totally heartwarming to see them being happy, playful, and goofy love bugs❣️❣️ As for our sweet Miss MimiRu, we now know exactly what it means to say, “Who rescued who?” 🥰 We love her beyond measure and are so thankful GoFar rescued her and brought her into our lives. She may be tiny, but she has a humongous loving heart and gentle soul that has brightened our world for sure❣️🥰🤗❣️

Amazing rescue center started by a wonderful team of women. They hold benefit events and their dogs are well taken care of. I highly recommend adopting from them, they have a wide range of dogs available, from puppies to elderly ones looking for a forever home. Amazing place!

Coco and I went to meet one puppy and came home with Stella. She is already such a special girl, and a wonderful addition to our pack.

GOFAR made the adoption process easy for us when adopting Coco. I put in the application on Friday and by the end of the night I got a call back asking when I wanted to come meet her. We went Saturday afternoon to meet with Coco and left with her that same day. Coco is such a great dog and an amazing addition to our family. She is so gentle with my 9 month old son and loves to run and play with my 4 year old son and 2 year old Cockapoo. It took her a few days to come out of her shell, but now we are really getting to know her personality and she is great! I will recommend everyone to GOFAR when wanting to adopt a new family member.
