Loved it! I found myself "adopted by a 52lb dog! So happy since he was not budgeted into my life that Oklahoma Alliance for Animals, was able to help me get him neutered. It was a smooth process & 2 week healing with no infection! Thank you to the vets & techs who offer this service. 🙏
Id take your cat elsewhere. I had previously used SPCA for my first cat which was around the same price point, however they had no slots opened for my 2nd cat so I decided to take him here to get neutered. The drop off and care before surgery was pretty straight forward. I got there at 8am for drop off and came back at 4:30 for pickup. They informed us that he was still not awake so we then waited for about another 30 minutes, not a big deal since I did get there early. A staff member came up to our car with our cat in his carrier and placed him in the back seat in a rush. I proceeded to move our cat, which was in his soft sided carrier, on my lap to the passenger seat to check on him and was immediately hit with the smell of cat pee and a soaked bottom of the carrier which got all over my lap. I proceeded to open the carrier and saw a pee pad that was soaked in pee which was all over my cats belly and area of which the procedure had been done. I also want to note that some spots of the pee pad were spots of dried pee and spots on his belly were also semi dried pee so it was obvious that he had relieved himself at the clinic multiple times on the same pad and was never checked upon. The clinic was already closed by the time I checked everything, I called and they again proceeded to say they were closed. So we had to drive 20 minutes back home with my cat covered in his own pee, his carrier covered and pee and now my lap and backseat dampened with pee. I understand its a cheap service, but I would have at least expected the basic amount of care to go to at least checking the cats wellbeing throughout the day and changing the pee pad when its been used. As I said before I took my 1st cat the the SPCA for a cheap price and he was treated with immense care and attention and came back clean and the staff talk to us about aftercare and how the surgery went. Its the bare minimum that im sure all of us pets parents expect.
Very displeased with services rendered. I had 2 females dogs spayed at the same time and all though it was relatively cheap I won't be using them again. For me my pets are important and their comfort after a major surgery is as equally important. I previously used a different place for the first spay of a different animal and when I say they went above and beyond to care for my fur baby is an understatement. They cared for her as if she was their own, made sure she was ok, made sure she went home with pain medication and another medicine to keep her sedated long enough to heal and recover before resuming normal playful activities again. The difference in the experiences between my first company that I went with and this company is night and day. How do you complete a major abdominal surgery on an animal and only give them a pain injection that lasts 24 to 48 hours? The first experience was top of the line and Spay OK services are exactly what you pay for.....cheap services and minimal care. I was willing to even pay for the medication for my animals. But that wasn't even an option or an offer. I never will take one of my fur babies here ever again. I ended up having to schedule two vet appointments for a hospital for my animals to get more medication to get them through the first 10 to 14 days to make sure the healing process is done correctly and that they remain calm long enough for the incisions to heal properly. It's important that even after a human has abdominal surgery, that activities are minimal and that you are not in pain to recover well and are semi comfortable. How is it any different for an animal? My biggest complaint is really not having the option to offer a person to purchase this for their animal.
I sure hope no one’s 8 to 10 week old puppy get sick on the car ride…. Cause they will make you reschedule…. Doesn’t matter how far you live. Don’t waste your time people
Clear cut instructions, very affordable & caring for your pet at the same time, they followed up and checked on my Dog and never brushed off any of my ?s or concerns. Would recommend and use again in the future
Took my baby boy cat here to get neutered. We had to wait a couple of weeks to get him in because they are pretty popular, but for the price ($65 total) I was able to get him neutered, de wormed, and his vaccines to make him up to date. They also have the option to chip them, which is also super affordable. I did have to pay a deposit (appointment total) to hold his appointment, but It makes it easier on the day. They're all super nice and Bart is doing fantastic! The price is unbeatable, and it was all very quick and easy. I definitely recommend it, just try and plan to make the appointment a couple of weeks in advance!
