Been taking my dog there for 8 years. Never had issues. Always took care of my pup w great care. But now, there's a new doctor and new policies. I was told to pay $55 over the phone which is service fee in order to secure my spot. I've never had to pay to keep an appt. Not including other fees for services. Also, I was denied my pups allergy meds because the new doctor needs to see him within 6 months of last check up. It's only been 5 months. Now my pup has red paws. And, they never call back to follow up as they say. They tell you different things Everytime. Not what they use to be

I took my dog Alvin to get him checkout they were giving me the run around I was there on February 3, 2024 at 2:48 pm in afternoon I didn’t not get home until 5:00 in the evening they he came home with me the same night.. and they give medicine for him to take at when we get I gave the pill the same day, thinking it would work they gave me steroids, and they warned me a strong and he die this morning at 3:29 am this morning they made pay $2089.97 for the bill. I give them 1 star

Definitely recommend Affordable Animal Hospital (Eagle Rock). They gladly took in my senior chihuahua as a walk in since that morning he was going crazy at his mouth trying to get a tooth out and for a second I though he had something stuck in his mouth. They ended up doing a few exams and bloodwork to put him under and extracted 5 teeth, I was dreading it was going to be an arm and a leg but on the contrary they are reasonable and indeed affordable. It’s the next day and he’s back to his normal self happy self :)

I had my baby boy, who is also my best friend “Luigi” go here for a few care needs and major dental work. He was in my life since he was 2 mos. and he turned 13 this pass Feb. Each time we visited, which was often these past few months, (due to the dental work and his age)we were greeted warmly and professionally. Not once did I, as Luigi’s dad, ever feel like I was dealing with heartless medical professionals that handled my dear friends needs, like insensitive robots. They genuinely cared and even showed love. Dr. Adler Always was so gentle and kind making the process always so easy and prescribing Luigi exactly what he needed without making me feel rushed or ever giving me the impression Luigi didn’t matter. Luigi was and will always be a fighter and bigger than his body gave him credit for. So, he was pretty feisty and could be a handful, but the staff always showed care and patience while handling him. He passed away almost 3 weeks ago now and I don’t really want to remember that exact date specifically, because he suffered terribly due to his on going breathing issues leading to a possible heart attack. He was strong for me and held on during the entire Uber ride to the emergency room. Long enough for me to be able to say “goodbye, see you soon “. He was always thinking of me, even then. Manny was very supportive over the phone the day Luigi passed. He did the best job explaining things to me in ways that I can understand and made me feel good when he mentioned he remembered Luigi and myself after one previous visit. I will always be grateful for this Manny, thank you. Every one here at this Eagle Rock location is hard at work to ensure your animals safety and well being, all while maintaining a level of respect, dignity and care that unfortunately some establishments lack. I will be bringing my “Chance” (a rescue that was abandoned on a freeway) “Marie” and our newest addition to the family “ Benjamin” here, for all there care needs. I trust, appreciate and respect all these wonderful people that commit there days and energy to show love and care for all of our babies. I know Luigi is happy where he is now, because you all took the very best care with him before he passed. I wish for wonderful days full of great health, love and peace for each and everyone of the staff here at Affordable Animal Hospital. Thanks so very much. You made a true friend for life in me. Dr. Frank Marco and his staff in Eagle Rock went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed & comfortable when bringing our precious 17 year-old kitty, “Lily”, in for a check-up & evaluation. She’s doing great. As with the experience we had with our late kitty, “Carmela”, all options for continued care were explained in detail. Our family highly recommends A.A.H. My dog had a massive, fast growing tumor on her side. My original vet just handed me the estimate and didn't give any other info about the risks, recovery, ect, so I came here for a 2nd opinion, and I am SOO glad i did! Dr. Shakar explained everything in great detail and answered all of my questions and concerns as if it were his own dog. The surgery went well and it only took my husky 1 week to recover! 2 months later she is still doing amazing thanks to these guys. Not to mention their surgery price was cheaper than the others which is a plus. Very grateful!
