Dr. Mills & his staff are nothing short of wonderful. They have loved on & cared for every animal I’ve ever had. They cared for my baby Kisses until her last breath & made sure she was comfortable & warm & so loved on. I was able to rest knowing she was in their hands. Upon my baby’s passing, they have been patient with me about choosing the perfect urn for her to rest forever in. I’ll never not be a faithful customer of Urgivet.

Wish I would have looked at the reviews before I took my dog to this place, these people have no clue to what they are doing, they should be shut down. Took my dog there today because he was breathing very badly, they took xrays and gave him a shot, gave him pills and told me " I assure you he will be feeling better by tonight". My dog passed 3 hours after his visit here. Call and told them what happened, and they had nothing to say, and told them I want my $400 back. We'll I assure you I will get it back or I will be taking legal actions with all the bad reviews on this place. I wish I could give them negative stars, while they all walking around with fancy watches and don't know nothing. I should have followed my first mind and took my dog to the MSU emergency hospital. If you need emergency care for your animal please don't take them here. By the way, I'm still waiting on my call back from the doctor

I have utilized URGIVET of Madison since it first opened. My cat, Jake was one of the first animals treated by Dr. Mills and his staff. Dr. Mills was extremely compassionate to Jake, who had an illness with about a 6 month lifespan. But, because of the excellent care he received, I was blessed to have my friend and fur-baby with me for about a year. Jake loved Dr. Mills and all his staff and would talk to them when he was in the hospital section. They also treated another of my fur babies with the same love and compassion. Thank you Dr. Mills, Dr. Robinson and entire staff!

PLEASE RUN FROM THIS FACILITY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! My mistake was not reading the reviews prior to coming here but as you know…it was an EMERGENCY! I typically use the Animal Emergency Center in Flowood (twice in the past, good experiences) however it was a medical emergency for my pooch. As many of you know, time is of the essence with medical emergencies, so I made the decision to go to this facility since it was closer to home. I have no affiliation with the Animal Emergency center in Flowood, MS but I tell ya, if I can save someone the trouble & pain of dealing with Urigivet, I will market for free, for the rest of my life! I woke up to my dog having seizures & with his tongue hanging from his mouth, also unconscious. I rushed over to Urgivet & I just knew we were in good hands because they rushed him back immediately. I was impressed but little did I know this is when the real trouble started. They confirmed that he was having seizures & that they had issued a dose of dextrose & anti-seizure medication. They told me that in order to keep doing anything for him, they needed a payment. I asked what my total was at this point & was told 500+ dollars. Well when I tried to pay the CURRENT BALANCE, I was told that in order for them to do anything else for him, I would have to pay the actual DEPOSIT amount of $750. The $500+ amount was to clear the bill but I had to pay $750 in order for them to continue doing everything they could for my baby. We paid the $750. A little while later, we were contacted and told he was not doing well even with the meds he was given. We were advised to think on whether we wanted to continue with medication or euthanize him. Honestly, this was a hard decision for us, so it took us a little while to make a final decision. We called back & informed them of our decision. Basically, the technician stated okay we will start the process. About a hour after that, I was contacted and told that in order to continue the process of euthanizing & cremation, I had to pay the amount of money that he had accrued past the $750 we have already paid. We were told this amount was $600+. They told me that until this was paid additionally, they wouldn’t be able to euthanize or cremate my dog. They threatened me with legal action if I didn’t pay & I won’t lie you guys, I told them I did not care what they had to do. I was not trying to skip out on paying the remainder but geez Louise I just lost my pup!! If you have the option of taking legal action, why not do what’s right for the pup & their family in that moment because in the end you’ll get your money anyway, as a business! What kind of business charges a $750 deposit, that you happily pay, & then charges you after every little thing?? “Hey we know you paid $750 already but we gave your dog an injection and before we can do anything further for him, we need you to pay for that injection?” After paying the $750 deposit, I was told that I had to pay an additional $600+ before they would even euthanize & cremate my dog. I’ve never seen a business that you have to pay every little thing, every little step of the way before they give a d@mn! Honestly, once the payment goes through, you can’t even pay them to give a d@mn! They are also EXTREMELY smug & insensitive. Each call was about pure business! I was never told once “I’m sorry you’re having to make this decision, you & your family have my condolences”. After my dog was euthanized I was never told that it actually took place & the next steps. I did sign a form about the euthanizing & cremation process but aside from that, given the nature of the event, I would have imagined that I would have received a personal call from someone about the process. The only call I received after signing the form was the hounding for the remainder of the payment. I talked to at least 10 people this day, from doctors, techs, clerical staff, no one offered not one “I’m so sorry about your pet”. Update:No lies told. I’m sure it’s just a mere coincidence that almost ALL bad reviews contain similar stories 😒

The office is beautiful .its clean and welcoming .The staff is friendly and I liked the Vet alot he was very good and told me exactly what was wrong with my love and how he needed immediate emergency medical and they would treat him the only problem was it would cost $1500 to keep him and give medical care overnight . And I would have paid that $1500 in a second if I had it it’s my baby after all . But since I didn’t have $1500 we got sent home with some pills to hope for the best til my vet opens on Tuesday and an $$771 bill .. my pup didn’t make it back to the car before he took a turn for the worst and is barely hanging on tonight Ive cried while laying in the floor with my baby begging and praying for him to hold on til Tuesday morning and it will take a miracle for him to make it . Now why was $800 not enough to save my puppy ? So unless you are filthy rich I would not recommend this vet because money is the main concern and your gonna have to pay outrageously only to get sent home no better off than you were before with very little chance your pet will survive . And $800 gone and have to take to your vet and pay for treatment if it happens to make it .but if you have $1500 laying around this is a very good Dr.and staff is great .

Dr. Mills and the vet tech, Francisco, were great! Very thorough and made me feel confident that I can use them again in emergency situations. Informed me of the charges upfront.
