Description We all love our pets, and there are science-based practices we can adopt to add longevity and happiness to their lives. AWS knows that the loss of a pet, whether they have fur, feathers, or scales, is traumatic. We understand that this loss is equal, if not greater than, the loss of some humans from our lives. Our Animal Chaplain and End-of-Life Doulas are available to help anyone who is in need of support during these extra tough times. Assembly of the Wandering Shepherd believes all living creatures are imbued with aspects of the divine; as such our mission is to promote the human-animal bond by teaching animal guardians the skills they need to support health & wellness, and to reduce pain & suffering in all creation.

Robyn was recommended by a friend who is working with her to train her therapy dog. We have an energetic 9 month-old puppy, Gertie, who is wild when people come to our home - even though we've been to multiple training sessions with others. Robyn invited us to bring our pup for an assessment to see what might help us work with her. This "assessment" was such a wonderful experience as we watched Robyn interact with Gertie and bring out the very best in her. We were there for over an hour while Robyn demonstrated training skills and gave us so many recommendations. Robyn sent us an incredible document with ideas and activities to support us as we go through "puppydom." We met with Robyn to determine if Gertie was just too wild to train...we left believing she is really a wonderful dog. Robyn told us, "She's more than a good dog, she's a great dog going through adolescence!" We highly recommend Robyn's training! Thank you, Robyn!!

Thanks to Robynn’s guidance, Boone and I have forged a bond that goes beyond the typical pet-guardian relationship. Her teaching methods in the Olfactory Fun and Fitness Fun classes have brought us closer together. Boone’s trust in me has grown significantly as he exercised his body and brain in class while having lots of fun. Beyond classroom time, Robynn’s commitment to guiding us toward our goal as a Therapy Dog Team is truly admirable. She thinks outside the box, tailoring her approach to our specific needs. Robynn s great at listening, answering questions, and offering resources. Her knowledge and ability to communicate what she sees in the dog and the handler provides valuable insights and techniques to strengthen the bond between you and your dog. Ruby and I met with Robynn to explore the idea of Ruby being in a fitness class with other dogs. I describe Ruby as a “sensitive thinker” who was unsure about the world around her. Ruby had her basic obedience behaviors down, but I was looking for ways to increase her confidence. Robynn offered suggestions on ways to build Ruby’s self-assurance. I have watched Ruby’s confidence grow during our Olfactory Fun classes. Robynn’s goal of wanting the dogs to have a place to freely experience their gift of smell has opened a door for Ruby and helped to strengthen the bond I have with her. We are currently taking our first fitness class with other pups and Ruby is doing great! I highly recommend working with Robynn if you are looking to find joy for you and your pup.

Robynn is able to be clear in her explanations and advice, but also listens intently to make sure her ideas and recommendations match what you truly need.
