Fate put us in contact with S’n S’ German Shepherds. Frank had a litter of puppies that were related to our last German Shepherd who passed away over two years ago. We were so excited to find out that Frank had a puppy available from that litter. I emailed him and he called me right away. We had a lovely discussion about his dogs and the people we both knew who used to breed Shepherds. Frank emailed me photos of the parents, grandparents and great grandparents of this litter. He even emailed us photos of the puppies at four days old. My husband and I made the drive to Presque Isle, Maine to pick out our puppy. Frank emailed photos of the puppies but we wanted to see them in person. So much fun! We got to play in Frank’s yard with six adorable puppies and it was really hard to decide on one. They were all beautiful. We met Gem the mother of the litter and got to see all of the dogs at his kennel. They were well behaved, nicely groomed and obviously well taken care of. Once that exciting day came to take our new little guy home Frank met us in Bangor which saved us a lot of driving. Our puppy Enzo is wonderful and is adjusting well to his new home. He’s so smart and adorable and even his older sister Ellie, our Corgi has accepted him into the family. We can’t thank Frank enough for this beautiful puppy. We will be sending him lots of photos and updates over the years.

Frank was so wonderful through the whole process. Storm is now 9 months old and we couldn't ask for a better dog! He's very mild mannered and an overall chill dog. We can leave him out of his kennel while we're gone and there's never been accidents or destruction. He also gets to enjoy doggie daycare 2 days a week and loves playing with all his friends. Frank is very knowledgeable and is still available for me to reach out to with questions.

S'n'S has been fantastic to work with. We wanted a male so we sent our deposit to Frank in December for puppies to be born in January. As soon as they were born Frank sent photos of the boys and we made our pick. We fell in love instantly. We met Frank in Bangor 8 weeks later for a seamless transfer. Dexter is stunning! So handsome and so well tempered. He's already learning to ring a bell to go outside! I highly recommend Frank and Rebecca and if we get the crazy notion for a second dog we will definitely be calling Frank!!!

I reached out to this breeder because someone local bought a german shepherd puppy from him a few years back, and the pup is nice, and the people were happy. I was surprised my experience was so awful. The old gentleman, he said he was 75 and not computer savvy - that is fine - but it was his excuse for not posting on his public advertisement the OFA and DM status of the dam and sire. As I waited (and I was the first in line on inquiry), he sold one of the three male pups, leaving 2 to choose from. I didn't mind waiting for information, but he sold to others who did not want information. When it reached a head in conversation on email, he admitted that he did not comply with the law requiring breeders to have a Health Certificate from a Veterinarian, documenting the health status to include worming results (fecal test), hernia and dropped testicle observation and so forth. This is required by law within 7 days of transfer. He wanted a non refundable deposit of $900 without any contract. He reacted with hostility to my attempts to fix the situation. He made erroneous and inciteful statements , including that I should look elsewhere if I don't think his pups were worth the price of $1900, even though I never asked for a discount and never said the pups were not worth the price. I asked for what any person would expect in terms of services and documentation for his price point. I told him I would be submitting a review on google, to alert other inquirers, to alert others to what they might expect and encounter, to keep others from suffering the upheaval I was caused. In researching google, I see he has 9 good reviews and one bad review in over 40 years of business! ...Perhaps the people who had a bad experience never had the courage to speak up. 9 reviews in 40 years speaks for itself. Best to avoid this back yard breeder who reacts with hostility and defensiveness when you ask for what any reasonable person would ask for, in terms of documentation and veterinary health opinion or health certificate, which is required by law when selling a pup across state lines.

Frank at SnS German Shepherds is a very honest breeder to do business with. He is very easy to do business with . Once the wife and I made the decision to get another German Shepard with SnS it was a very positive decision ! We picked the litter and Frank and litter parents (Riley and Stone)did the rest ! Frank picked the puppy for us and we could not been more pleased! The pup was everything we asked for ! He is smart and very even tempered ! This is our fourth shepherd and our first from Frank and his shepherd is an equal to our other shepherds that we have had !!!
