Had an amazing experience at the Avocato Catfé! While we didn’t get food or drinks I enjoyed an amazing time just chilling with cats. The kittens had their own room where they could play while the adult cats roamed, choosing who to play or get pets from. Volunteers were kind and very informative, helping individuals and families even when there were technical difficulties. Look forward to going again.
I had a great time the staff and volunteers were very friendly. The set up is nice and cozy for both the visitors and the cats. I know where I will be adopting my cat(s) from in the near future.
Fabulous, fun, and clean cat cafe! All of the cats seem very happy and comfortable in the environment and it's a great place to spend time with adoptable kitties. There's even a kitten room with several adorable kittens who run around and play like crazy - they're so fun to watch! There's many vegan snacks available to purchase and a great selection of coffees and teas to enjoy while visiting with the cats. I highly recommend visiting Avocato Catfe and supporting this wonderful organization. It's a great place to adopt a cat and/ or kitten, as well if you're looking!
This wasn't really a café in any sense of the word. It was a help yourself drink bar in front and the cats in the back. The workers seemed to hover around visitors. It was a bit unnerving. One just sat in a chair on his phone nearly the whole time. One cat had a huge knock on its stomach, which indicated it wasn't groomed as well as the others. The entry price is high for what it is. But the cats were mostly awesome. A few were clearly overstimulated. But that's to be expected with all the visitors.
Terrible experience, the website completely misrepresents this establishment. There is no cafe/coffee bar/snacks, just a Keurig on the counter which you have to operate yourself. The staff were unwelcoming and seemed bothered by our presence, especially my child (even though the main webpage explicitly states this is the “great place to spend an afternoon with the kids”); One of their staff even started scolding my child at one point (who was merely dangling a cat toy near a cat, not contacting the cat, or making loud noises; I totally would have intervened myself if she was behaving inappropriately, but she was not!). The kitten room was inexplicably closed (no mention of this being a possibility anywhere on the website- in fact, it says the kittens are the “highlight of every visit”). The negative vibes and lack of hospitality were completely unexpected and quite baffling as their website claims it is a friendly, pleasant place where you can come, eat, drink, lounge and interact with cats - they even advertise that they host birthday parties. I highly discourage anyone from going here unless you are solely planning to adopt a cat, nothing else. There was absolutely no rough handling of any cat, the volunteer who intervened is claiming that was the case in an attempt to defend their poor treatment of a guest.
What a wonderful place… a cats dream! It is so comfy and cute inside. There are many different areas for the cats and kittens to play and relax. It’s so fun to see them be so happy and free! Love that my entry fee goes to helping save lives!! ❤️
