My husband and I have always loved to drive down just to ride through the Wildlife Refuge. This year, it was a little different than our previous visits. We didn't see the number of alligators that we normally see. I did notice that the water levels were different, and the areas that had the paths to walk through the big oaks were a lot more overgrown. However, it's still a cool place to visit, and there are plenty of places to walk between the different water areas. It's a peaceful, fun time with the family and a great place to take pictures.

Awesome! Driving trail with lots of wildlife. I saw gators, herons, and plenty other birds. Being that it's the marsh you will be eaten alive by mosquitoes if you choose to leave your car.

Great spot for a little piece and quiet close to the city. The bird overlooks definitely need some repairs and updating looks like it's been awhile but plenty of places to pull off the road and just relax and.be quiet in the great outdoors.

I go often. It's great place to drive , I take mom who has Alzheimer's, she love to see the birds, turtles, and the gators. I have also taken family from Ohio , also tell her caretakers.

What an experience! It's like a safari, you drive a loop in one way and you can make stops when you see something. We saw dozen of alligators, turtles, racoons and many birds like vultures and herons. Totally worth it and underrated in my view.

Nice spot to take a break from the crowds and enjoy the outdoors with the gators and wildlife. The road is dirt but well maintained.
