We recently adopted our second rescue dog from Darbster and have had nothing but great experiences with the staff and volunteers there. This last time we were interested in a particular pup and they gave it to us plan and simple that she was going to be a lot of work. We asked specific questions and found out that she was not what we were looking for and was pleased that they were honest with us. We had an appointment to see her but decided to look at some other dogs instead while there. The volunteers there were very helpful and helped us find a special pup that got along with our other rescue and our son’s dog that spends a lot of time with us. We spent quite some time outside with them to make sure that they got along well with each other and us. He was /is very shy and skittish but is slowly becoming more confident. We find that for us this is a great rescue shelter that knows about their dogs personalities. For us they have not steered us wrong on both of our pups.

I highly recommend checking out Darbster Rescue if you are looking to adopt a dog or cat! Everyone that I interacted with at Darbster was amazing - so nice and happy to answer questions. The pup that I adopted is just the sweetest- you can tell that he was well socialized and well cared for during his time at Darbster. Overall, it was a great experience and we are so happy 😊

I’ve had friends get pups from Darbster before but had never gone there myself until recently, after the loss of our sweet girl to kidney failure at the young age of 8. Darbster does great work getting these pups out of bad situations, tuned up, and sent on to their forever homes. We are thankful for our little lovebug who was so so timid when we first met her and wouldn’t even approach us since she had just arrived to NH from down south, but we decided to give her a shot and with some patience she has blossomed into the sweetest companion. She has truly filled a void I didn't think would ever be repaired. Thank you for all your work, from the bottom of our hearts.

We recently adopted Meg from Darbsters. What a great decision! She is a sweet girl, full of energy and snuggles. We were not sure we could love another girl after losing our last rescue who we had for 12 years but Meg has found a special place in our hearts already. The staff at Darbsters was fantastic and we will highly recommend them to anyone looking to add a furry friend to their family.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this rescue. The people who work there truly love and care for each animal, and they are dedicated to finding every pets fur-ever home. They helped me find Luca ( previously Luke) and it was love at first bark!

Darbster really listened to what our family was looking for and made the adoption process smooth. They let us meet the dogs we originally thought we wanted, but also offered to meet a few we hadn't considered. No pressure and plenty of time to interact with the dogs to find the right one. We brought home a very healthy happy 1 year old rescue that has fits right in. We are very grateful for the patient and thoughtful staff at Darbster Dog.
