If I were the kind of person to give a rescue 1 star, I would right now. I think it's important for them to clarify how their open house adoption days work so people don't drive from afar to attend only to discover it doesn't work like similar events. Below is what I commented on their FB event. My comment was deleted and I was blocked from their page, hence this review where they are forced to listen to me and hopefully other people will be given this information as well. ----- FYI - this event is deceiving if you have attended other open house/adoption events at other rescues. When they say have your application in hand they really mean - In order to enter at all, you need to fill out an application completely. This is before you can even see what animals are still available or meet them. The place is small, on a big property, so you sit outside and wait in line while they help one family at a time. I believe my comment and this feedback is fair, considering we are from over an hour away and we would not have come if all of the information was more clearly upfront. We tried to see what dogs were still available before we came, but they werent listed online and we figured with an event running it was reasonable to understand that they couldn't keep it up to date. All I am going to say is silencing reasonable feedback so you don't have others left in the same position as us is a questionable approach. I will definitely never recommend your rescue after today. Some simple clarification is definitely necessary.

The care taken by all the staff and volunteers is wonderful. You can see how happy the animals are there! I got reacquainted with Badger, whom I got to meet when she arrived. She's so sweet! All of them are.

Visited Live & Let Live earlier today with my little brother, we went home with the sweetest kitten! We had to put our family dog, Cash, down yesterday. We have all just been completely shattered over it, & agreed that we now had space for a new pet in the house. We have previously adopted pets through LLLF, so the process was fairly quick & easy. The staff was very kind & patient with us, & we just absolutely adore our new kitty!❤️

I've adopted 3 goats, 3 horses, 3 goats, 2 dogs, and 3 cats from here. So many species have been saved due to this rescue. If you want to donate, they use Clark's Grain store in Chichester. Help pay the hugegrain bill. This way, you know the money went to the animals directly.

I was interested in adopting a horse, who I was told was aggressive and I would need to pay to lease him on farm for over a year before he could be released, and he could not go to a boarding facility. A few years later I found he was adopted by an older woman, who was a complete beginner rider with minimal handling experience.

I went on Sunday to tour and donated to this amazing farm. So many beautiful rescued horses!! But, really any animal lovers dream. Horses, cows, goats, pigs, geese, ducks, chickens, cats & dogs!! 💕❤️ Every single one of these beautiful loves were so happy to get smells, rubs and love from people. You can tell the volunteers and workers truly love their animals, know their stories and are empathetic, kind, affectionate and patient with them. This is what every rescue animal needs and deserves. Even if you can’t rescue (because believe me if you meet them, you’ll want them) you can donate, or volunteer.
