Amazing shelter with really caring people working there. The owner was very caring and took pride in the animals. They train the animals very well and the animals are very well cared for. We got to meet as many dogs as we liked and after a couple days we found the dog best suited for our family. I am very grateful to this place. We have found our furry little friend Pepper Jack and he found his furrever home! 💕

We had a really great experience adopting sweet Calliope from MARQ. She had all of her puppy shots and was spayed prior to coming home with us. The staff that we worked with were all very kind and informative. All of the dogs in their care at the shelter seemed very well loved and looked after. I have been SO impressed by the manners and skills that our puppy already knows. She is well socialized with people and other dogs. It's obvious to me that this organization works with all of their dogs to set them up for success in their new homes.

We love MARQ! They are friendly, helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and know a loy about a lot of things. We've adopted 3 dogs over the years from them and prefer working with them because they do know their stuff, are thorough with the care of the pets before adoption, and are thorough with the paperwork. Thank you MARQ & Erin for all that you do!!

Went to adopt a pet. The dog I was interested in had been there 3 months due to age, breed, and preferences. She was feeling under the weather also. Wasn't sure how serious her issue was, like possibly needing a doctor. Discussed with the employee that I'd be heading to work and was not prepared at work or home for an ill pet. And employee led me to believe it would be best for the dog to stay. We discussed a good day to come back and was happy to know that I wouldn't have to wait too long since I could pick her up on the holiday. Bought her a harness and leash and small donation with the understanding I would soon check on her well being. Found out this pet had been adopted the very next day. I spoke to another employee and the one I had solely dealt with was not there. Went back on the agreed holiday day when the initial employee would be there. She didn't act like she recalled any of our interaction or conversation until she remembered my normal day off. Recalled nothing of me picking her up on the holiday day off. Also when making plans for pick up, making purchases, and fitting harness, there was absolutely no mention of a 'no holds' policy. So when I showed up a day early to pick her up if she was feeling better, and the doggie was already adopted out. I was blind sided and devastated. Thought there must be some mistake. I could have benefited from their 'no holds' policy knowledge when we were making plans for pick up. This situation happened from Thursday afternoon to Sunday (Easter) morning. The time frame doesn't really matter though. Just added information so any readers realize it wasn't a great time span.

I adore this shelter and all who work there. I am a sometimes foster and 2time foster fail. They saved my first pup from parvo and are wonderful with the animals in their care. Recommend to everyone!

Erin is an angel! When she saved my girls she saved me The little one has saved my life 3 times alerting me to dangerously low blodd sugar in the middle of the night. They keep me calm during medical procedures and multiple hospital stays. They were meant to be companions but they have become so much more. I know they will rescue an animal in the middle of the night. They help shut-down horror puppy mills. There are not enough accolades to say about this place. PLEASE if you are thinking about getting a furbaby DO NOT BUY A PET AT A STORE. Let these incredible people help match you with your perfect companion.
