Staff had poor customer service skills. No eye contact upon check in or check out. The doctor was not compassionate at all. Took my puppy injected her around the neck and just put her down. All she said was “if you see worms in her poop call us” none of my questions were addressed. Will not be going back there.
Do not see Dr. Henderson if you care about your pet. Our cat Milo was having seizures suddenly over the last 12 hours so we decided to take him to the vet. He was an overweight cat and the cause of the seizures was not diagnosed. After simply taking blood work and giving less than 20 min of an IV fluid, they stuffed him back in the cage and sent us on our way with a prescription for phenobarbital. No instructions other than how to give the cat the medicine, no goodbye, no thank you, and no advice on what to do if the seizures persisted. We administered the half a pill like we were told to do and he had another seizure 10 minutes later. We called the office to get advice and they basically said nothing. We left Milo to go get some yogurt to help him with his dosages for about 3 hours and when we got back he was dead on the floor under the bed. When we called back and told them our cat died they were completely unsympathetic, indifferent, and when Dr. H finally called back, said she "had never seen anything like this in 40 years. Why didn't they keep him until the blood work was complete, or load him with a higher dosage of the medication because he was a larger cat to prevent the seizures before they became fatal?! He was only 2 years old and if they were more specific about how much of a dosage we should have given him initially to get his treatment under way, or if they had given him some medication and enough of it to match his weight before we left the clinic, milo would still be with us today... TLDR: Dr Henderson doesn't care about your animals and if they die, Too bad, she doesn't know why and didn't care anyway. 40 years of veterinary practice for nothing!
Always try their best to work with you on appointments. I am now releieved to be able to get my babies (that are brother and sisters) fixed so i dont have to worry about complications. Considering they were booking out into september originally. I only had to explain my circumstances and they were able to accomodate. This will be the vet office i will use for all animals because of the exceptional accomodation. Also, they gave me a good tip on using a onsie so the other cat doesnt get at it. Needed antibiotics. Got same day. Overall great experience Ragnar and lagatha photos are below. The one in the sink when she was all healed and feeling happy 😹😹
Dr. Henderson and her team have been amazing in their care of my dogs for more than 20 years. They always go above and beyond. Dr Henderson is kind and empathetic and I am so grateful to them for their exceptional care.
My 12 week old kitten needed medication that they didn't have in stock. It was Saturday 12/23, so if they ordered the medication it wouldn't be in until Wednesday 12/27 and they did not want my kitten to be sick for that many days. They made at least 15 phone calls to other local vets/animal hospitals that were open and tried to find somewhere that had it in stock. When that didn't work, they found that CVS has the same medication for babies that may need it. They then started calling local pharmacies and found one that would fill it 30-40 minutes away. By the time I dropped my kitten off at my house CVS had the medication ready. This whole process tied up 2-3 staff members for over a half hour. The vet could've easily said "we don't have the medication right now" and sent us on our way after a few phone calls. I admire their diligence to get my kitten the medication he needed and he is doing much better now (and if they ordered the medication he still wouldn't have it).
Dr. H saved my cat's life, and for that I am very grateful. But they also endangered it. My cat was put on urinary so food. I asked 2 different techs and the vet herself if 1 can per day was enough. They all said it should be fine. She lost so much weight. The office thought it might be because of a condition of hers, but I quickly found out by visiting the brands website that 1 can a day is 1/3 of what she should be eating. I was essentially instructed to starve my pet. This should be a seriously basic question to be able to ask a vet. If my cat had died due to malnutrition, I'd never have forgiven them or myself. Will be searching for another vet after my cat fully recovers from surgery.
