Nothing but broken promises. Left us fostering puppies with no assistance for 3 months. Dog where given shots in anticipation of transport. PS: Dogs available to good home.

We adopted a very sweet dog today. I have to say everyone there was very friendly and helpful. They were absolutely knowledgeable of all their animals and even gave our new dog a bath before we left. Thank you to all the workers for a very pleasant experience!

“As a ’high-volume, full-service’ shelter we receive every animal, in any condition, for any reason, from whoever brings it in.” FALSE!!! l called told them l had two puppies. was told they are a KiLL shelter. l said these are puppies. She said it doesn’t matter! Called PAWS they gave me a number l posted photos and never heard back. Paws told me about shortage in NY and NY gives medical supplies shots and wormer for those to be transported. Three dogs were removed and they had opening, there is space. l loaded up the pups off we went. Pups, toys, and 17 lb bag of puppy food. l unloaded pups was met by a woman asking me What are you doing? Im bringing you the pups for Sunday trip to NY, reply “Its full”. Then she loaded them back up, as l was getting their food and toys. She said next trip is Tuesday. They need to have… Yes, NY gives you supplies for all that.. You have what is needed to give the dogs, why would you not administer it to the pups so they would be ready for NY trip?. Told “bring them back Tuesday night”. For rejection?Who worms a dog before a long trip? l am very disappointed and sadden that a few months ago l spread the word for donations. Knowing it is a kill shelter. A rescue started the transportation to NY.( shortage for dogs due to their laws) l will only give to PAWS and rescues. This shelter lost my support. Never again to this place. NEVER. NOTE: l found the mom tied up with 4 puppies. The person who wanted both texted “come get them”, after she had them 3 days. l have 3 and lost Peanut recently. I had no choice but take Bud and Sissy back to original owner. I pray they find a loving caring home. They truly deserve one.

The staff has such a low budget and small building that they are reliant on donations from caring folks just to transport animals to other facilities for adoptions. They have animals waiting to fill it to overcapacity all over again. They have a support organization that is creative in their much-needed fundraising efforts because the city has a very small budget for the shelter and it well below national MPAC cares about the animals in Marshall. These animals can make major contributions to the positive mental health of the city's patrons. We need to maintain the well-being of the animals with a better budget until their forever home is discovered.

Rude and unprofessional staff. They seem like they hate their job and it's evident in the customer service. I'll be taking the family to Longview or Tyler. We'll never set foot in this place again.
