Description The Dancing Cat is San Jose's first creative space and cat lounge for people and cats. We have between 7 and 11 adorable, adoptable cats in residence. The Dancing Cat welcomes guests onsite for hourly visits with our adoptable cat cohort. Reservations are required and all guests must be ages five and up. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and our mission is to find homes for at-risk adult cats from the San José Animal Care Center by giving those cats an open, cage-free environment in which they can mingle with people and other felines. The Dancing Cat is more than just hanging out with cats. The Dancing Cat can be rented as a venue for book clubs, small corporate team-building events, baby showers, and birthday parties.

We had a lot of fun here a few days ago! I definitely recommend making reservations in advance, and remember that the kitties may be sleepy in the afternoon. However, they were all super approachable and very sweet and we enjoyed playing with a few who were awake and in the mood.

This place is incredible!! Part of my family has severe allergy so we cannot have a cat at home, but this is the place we visited to interact and share the love. It's beautifully appointed, spacious and comfortable . There are plenty of toys to play with cats if they are willing, and a lot of spaces to pet them if they are quiet. The room is very clean and cats are so well taken care of. We spent an hour and it was too quick. Totally worth the visit even with the allergy flaring up later :)

I visited today and it was a nice welcoming place. I'm on vacation and missing my kitties so I stopped by to give these babies some love. I loved hearing about the current cats and the good this cat Cafe does. I highly recommend them.

An amazing local gem that's doing good. I heard about this place through a friend of mine, so I was eager to check it out. It may seem like an odd location (it's a former liquor store), but once you arrive, you'll find it's the purfect place and space. Lots of natural light for the cats who are loved and cared for while they wait for their furever homes.
