This is the most thorough and professional animal hospital Ive ever experienced. The entire staff goes beyond kindness, in every way, to take care of their pets. My Sammy was loved every minute he was there! Dr. Smith and her team get an 11 out of 10 rating in my experience. I was contacted often for follow ups and detailed step by step treatment for my best fur-friend. I would trust them above all the vets Ive ever taken one of my pets to! Highly recommended.

My wife found an injured stray kitten and brought her in to Woodsdale. The staff was so kind and helpful and Dr Smith took great care of her. I can't imagine a better place to take your pet.

We are so thankful for the expertise of Dr. Smith and her team. She always goes above and beyond with helping to care for our fur babies! This practice is a gem in Roxboro and highly recommend knowing your loved family members are in the absolute best care possible. We commute from Greensboro, NC for this exact reason!

Woodsdale Animal Hospital is the best .My little Sam keeps having problems with his nails been ingrown and they take really good care of him by removing it .

Skye had a great experience!!! As seen in the photo she had a lawn equipment accident to her nose. Dr. Smith did a great job stitching her up.

I had previously posted a scathing review, stating basically that if it weren't for Courtney and Dr. Purcell I'd be taking my business elsewhere. And I meant it at the time--but I'd like to just add a few more names to the list of positive people I've encountered here: Tiffany (super kind and friendly over the phone and very caring attitude) and Hope (comes out and explains everything and acts friendly and accepting but also knowledgeable-she just gives off 'good people' vibes). My cat Lily was so sick and I took her in and I had asked but was assured it was not cancer-just a UTI but she was so emaciated and she wasn't eating or drinking which will of course lead to a UTI but that was not the underlying problem. Well, $767 and an overnight stay later, Lily wasn't getting any better. She got her appetite back and I sure did choke her twice a day trying to syringe the antibiotics into her and she did start drinking and eliminating for a brief while but then returned to the not eating, not drinking and mostly hiding under the bed. I took her back to the vet and was in the parking lot when a couple and their young son pulled in with a sick kitten. I saw the staff and Dr. Smith come out and saw how compassionate and caring-and truthful they were with them and then I saw them bring out the kitty in a box. I was sitting there in my false hope still thinking, ok UTI thank god and those poor people! But then Courtney came out and gave me lab results and then asked if it would be okay to have Dr. Smith take a look at Lily. Now, Courtney I trust 100%. So I agreed and it literally took 2 minutes and Dr. Smith is standing beside my car telling me Lily has a "huge mass" on her liver and spleen and likely spread, possibly to lungs which is why she was breathing so hard. Mind you, I'd given Lily a lion cut about 6 wks prior and she's always been tiny but that's when I first noticed how skinny she was. At the time of both visits, she was skin and bones, only 5lbs and you could see her whole body very easily without her long fur and so I'm disappointed that my query about cancer was poo-poo'd and I was reassured it was not cancer, but apparently this mass was quite obvious and palpable, but not to me (Lily never allowed touching or petting of her stomach or back-only her head). Not sure how Dr Purcell missed it, though. Especially since I’d asked, point blank and more than once if it was cancer and was reassured by Dr Purcell that it was not. So Dr. Smith and Courtney walked me through my first experience with euthanasia and I'm so grateful to them for their care and also for relieving Lily of her suffering. I'm glad there's an 'edit' button for these Google reviews because I truly like and appreciate Dr. Smith and I hope things are looking up for this business because they really are wonderful there.
