I've called and called and no one will answer or return my calls. I'm homeless living out of a hotel with my fiance. We need help with housing because spending almost 1500 a month we can't say. It's that or live on the streets
Rick is quite the opposite of a helpful person. Instead of receiving help, I ended up with hypertension and very upset. Basically he told me I'm a lazy person and I should go look for a job, arguing every single thing I told him about my situation. Even when I brought a bunch of paperwork to sustain all my diligence trying to get a job thorough Michigan Work and Michigan Rehabilitation. He also told me to go look help on another help agency. Very skeptical. I told him I had a mini heart attack the day before according to the doctor and he told me he had a heart attack too and he still works three jobs. He even insinuate at some point that I'm racist. It enraged me to think about it. He doesn't want to help people he wants to get employees for his friends.
This place has always been helpful to me, it is an asset to Niles. I'm sad about the fire destroying that old building but it is great that they have relocated right across the street.
Ric, Arquilla "sorry if I spelled your name wrong!" and Ashley are 3 of the most amazing people anyone could ever have the joy of meeting! Yes, a person's circumstances probably aren't the best when they are reaching out to Ferry Street, but with these 3 amazing people that are truly a blessing from God, I can guarentee that you will not leave them disappointed or without a smile. They try so hard to be able to help every person that comes too them and I know first hand that even if they cant help at that moment, they help you try to come up with other ideas, leaving you with more hope than you had walking in. My family is and will always be forever grateful for The Ferry Street Resource Center and I can't wait for the day that I am able to help and give back too them ❤️❤️
Being a life coach and helping others is rewarding . All my friends that I bring there are very thankful and Grateful for all the time and patience they have towards them. A Awsome Group of VOLUNTEERS Helping others getting through difficult times.
When I called they said they help with finding housing. I was then scheduled to meet him. Yes he's very well dressed and respectful but not resourceful for me. I asked for help finding housing in the area and he suggested I not pay my rent and get an eviction notice. Why? I'm trying to relocate not be sat on a curb. I've never been evicted. I paid my bills like I always do. Good thing I did! If I hadn't I'd be homeless because he stopped answering my calls nor did he return them. I told him I didn't need financial assistance. I guess that disqualified me for his time and knowledge?
