Tried to donate a bag of Blue Buffalo dog food my dog wouldn't even taste. Before I could get out of the driveway, she was putting the entire bag in the trunk of her car. I didn't donate if for the lady to steal it. Will never set foot back there. There is nothing worse than a thief. My opinion is that something donated there should stay there for those dogs.

Kim was amazing to work with when I fell in love with a cat that was posted. She worked with me and help make the pre-approval process easy. Carol is amazing also! They have so many cats and dogs that it literally breaks my heart, but the volunteers are awesome and those fur babies are taken great care of. If you are looking to adopt, please check with SCHS because I promise they have some amazing animals! The adoption fee covers shots given by owner of SCHS, as well as spay/neuter. If anyone wants to complain about the adoption fees, I promise just a spay/neuter for a cat is $200+ (vaccines usually run $140+). Pictured is my fur baby adopted from the SCHS.

These volunteers do a great job feeding, cleaning and socializing the animals. If they had been a couple situations that people felt legitimately offended, l would have talked to a different person . There's also in the same area there is the humain society and the animal protective services . I can vouch for hard-working and diligent, 1 lvolunteers and staff are their care comes from their heart. However, there is times in the year Especially kitten time, where they just have no more room, and it's really hard at those times for them to turn People away because they have reached their capacity. As you know, it's not a very big facility.

Amanda is a pure gem with a heart of gold. You can tell she truly cares about the animals so much (each and every one that walks through the door) and every time I go there I can see how hard she works for the kitties. Can’t say enough good about her.

I did give a 5 star rating due to our adoption of our pup a year ago. I'm sorry this has changed due to a recent event. I found a lost cat and asked if I could bring him there to see if he has a chip and if he did could they hold him until the owner came to get him, if not I would bring him home and try to find the owner myself. The lady said we are not taking strays and hung up on me. I just wanted him to be scanned. She was so rude and wouldn't even let me explain the situation. NOT an animal loving lady if you ask me

What a wonderful group of people, if you're looking to add to your fur family this is the place. Dont let the name fool you just because it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as a fancy pet store doesn't mean they dont have beautiful animals for you to choose from, it just means all their love and attention goes directly to the animals in their care!!! Not trying to sell you the entire store along with your new addition
