The staff is wonderful there. My grandsons love to go there on the weekends to play with the kittens, they really enjoy going there. The staff is so patient with them. Excellent place to visit. You can take your pop bottles to donate they really appreciate them.

We can't say enough good things about this facility. The place is immaculate and not smelly at all. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and, most importantly, they REALLY care about the animals! The full face pic is our little Jack who we adopted in December 2019 and the guy riding the caregiver's shoulders is our Ebenezer aka Bennie who we adopted a year ago. In both cases we noticed that all the animals were clean and well fed, obviously well-cared for. Both were orphans from a nursing mother and had to be HAND fed every 2 hours around the clock. Today they are healthy, active, and happy and, indeed, a testament to the quality treatment they received at Huron Humane Society. Thank you all for the joy they bring to our lives! Your caring matters.

I donate to them (and of course visit the great cats) at their facility every few months on my trips up north. They’re very appreciative, and they have made a lot of changes in this place over the past few years - all for the betterment of animals. It’s been a couple of decades since my family have adopted from them, but during my visits, I can tell (also as a veterinary professional) that the pets are well cared for, the facility is clean, and the animals are socialized well. Thanks for taking all of the prescription food and supplies I dump on you! I couldn’t think of a better place for it to go to use.

What a nightmare. Seen two dogs online. Applied for them both. Got approval but the dogs I requested was adopted and there was only one dog out of six left as an option. Unfortunately the dog i wanted was later posted the next day online again. I went to call and went to the shelter but apparently they were closed due to weather. That only means those animals were left without care. I was at the shelter myself and there was nobody there. I even called several times. Reached out via email and messenger only to be corrected. Telling me I was never approved. And the dog was readopted. And the employees couldn't make it to work on time etc. Excuses. No resolution. Just a "oh well that sucks" doesn't matter IfI qualified or if I was a good person or if I had money. This society is a scam. Whatever game they are playing ain't right. I missed two opportunities to adopt a dog. Poor animals are neglected. Cages are full of poop because the workers are too busy play8ng around in the office instead of going over my application
