I feel like this place is way too expensive. I went to oakcare and paid almost half less for the same exact eye problem my dog had. Not only that I was there for 6 and Tire hours! I was very disappointed because the inside wedding area is very nice they had very good are on the wall and a very nice espresso machine which was a huge plus but not at the cost of a very expensive Bill and a very lengthy wait time. The staff there were very nice and very informative had nothing bad to say about them they were very helpful and seem like they're very much care about animals.

Fantastic vets, really helpful, and extremely compassionate spot. They are less expensive than my typical vet actually, and I’ve always had a great experience. Can’t recommend enough. Ended up with a bit of an emergency for a local community cat and they squeezed me in and went above and beyond to care for her. Seriously great place, and I’m so thankful to have found them. They book same day/next day visits just like human urgent care

VCA Broadway Animal Hospital in Oakland referred me to Urgent Pet Vet & they were able to get me a same day appt. for my cats emergency of possibly loosing his eye. We paid $149 exam fee and were able to go in the exam room while Dr. Nilanthi Kulasekara weighed and examined his eye & was very thorough on making sure we understood everything, she is excellent and knows her stuff & is very caring and understanding & kept him a few hours for diagnosis which was a large corneal ulcer on his left eye and conjunctivitis and she was able to save his eye. The meds prescribed cleared up everything and instructions from her have his eye looking normal. They are bit pricey but they definitely know what their doing. All staff very professional and attentive to your needs. Pictures I attached are before diagnosis and 2 weeks after taking meds.

I recently brought my cat in for a checkup due to a swollen cheek. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Despite the obvious concern, the vet didn’t thoroughly examine my cat, not even checking his mouth or taking his temperature. Given the seriousness of the issue and the fact that I paid $140 for this visit, I expected a more thorough evaluation and attention to detail. As a pet owner, I rely on professional care to ensure my pet’s health and well-being. This visit left me feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously, and I felt let down by the level of care provided. I hope that this feedback will help improve the clinic’s service in the future.

I can't begin to tell you how professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and kind the staff were to me and my little Bella Mae. From my urgent call to the thorough doctor's visit, discussing treatment and cost to fit my needs without harming Bella. The doctor took my 4lb girl under her care and did everything she could to help, diagnose, and later make her comfortable due to her sudden illness. They took care of me as well in guiding me in my options for my Bella. Even in making one of the hardest decisions in my life, the Staff treated me like family and walked me through the process with such care and kindness. I haven't been in that situation before but I am thankful that my Bella Mae and I were with this clinic. They were professional Angels and I am grateful for them.

I had a senior dog who had sudden and severe stomach issues. He seemed to be in a critical state and I wasn’t sure if treatment would help or if we needed to euthanize him. Thankfully Dr. Lowe and the staff were immediately available for evaluation. Dr. Lowe notified me that he didn’t seem like he was going to make it and provided pain medication while we prepared for euthanasia. Throughout the process Dr. Lowe, Paula (at front desk), and the assistant were all so kind and helpful, and gave us the space needed to grieve the loss of a pet. We were charged just for the euthanasia and there were no hidden fees like some other vets I have been to. Their euthanasia and cremation prices were very competitive as well. I’m very happy to know there is a nearby urgent care facility with amazing staff like them. Thank you all so much!
