Pine Banks Animal Hospital is, without a doubt, the best veterinary practice in Massachusetts. After trying several other clinics, I found that Pine Banks stands out for its compassion, empathy, and unwavering commitment to resolving my pet’s issues. My dog underwent dental work there and subsequently experienced some gastrointestinal problems, not because of the operation but because of the bland diet that was fed afterwards. Dr. Emara not only performed an exceptional job on her teeth but also ensured thorough follow-up care, addressing her post-operative issues with patience and dedication. His commitment to my dog’s well-being was evident, as he made it his mission to provide the necessary post-op care. The front desk staff is equally commendable, consistently ensuring clear and prompt communication between myself and the doctor. This has been the most positive experience I’ve had with a veterinarian, and I’ve had numerous encounters over the years with others. I wholeheartedly recommend Pine Banks Animal Hospital to anyone seeking top-tier veterinary care.

When my dog was 11 she tore her ACL. This clinic pressured us to perform an invasive surgery on her that would have required us to lock her in her kennel for a year while she healed. They called multiple times to tell us she was in pain and that we needed to make a decision (the implication was surgery or putting my pup down). Her leg healed on its own and she lived to be 17. She was always excited to go for her daily walks until the very end. But after that I knew Pine Banks didn't have the best interest of my dog at heart. Because she was already older we decided not to change vets but to be very wary of the advice given here in the future. This was a mistake. In the last year of her life she developed a tumor in her mouth. The vet caused her a lot of pain by forcing the tumor out of her mouth while examining it. When I brought her home she cried for the rest of the day. The vet suggested that we perform surgery on my 17 year old dog and then after further questioning admitted this would likely not extend her life much longer. I believe they are more interested in the money from these treatments than actually caring about the well-being of our pets.

Me and my Snowflake have a appointment tomorrow, little does she know. I told her. 😊 The first impression of Pine Banks, Serena was awesome! She was thorough and very patient with me speaking about Snowflake's care tomorrow. If this is any indication of the hospital, we can't wait to meet the team! Seeking another veterinarian because of a bad experience at last Vet. The Dr. didn't even say hi to her and went to grab her up! Well darn! I would have hissed too! We was there for her annual and nail trim. It was down hill after that. And then he labeled Snowflake rambunctious. 🤔🙃🙁 I'll be back with update on our visit. 🙏🏽

This is one of the worst money grabbing vets in New England. They do not put the animal first. I spent almost $3000. on my 17 year old cat. They refuse to give her the refill of thyroid medication without more blood test so I agreed. They also promised me to put her on a series of antibiotic for her bleeding but they wont give her the antibiotic without more testing. I refused the test she has been going there for almost two years and had every test known to man done. Without the refill of thyroid medication I'm going to have to put her down. She could still live a healthy life but I cannot afford to keep testing her over and over again for the same symptoms.

I was feeling helpless as my dog had severe dental issues. These people went above and beyond to see that she got the necessary treatment. Not only that, but they made sure both me and my puppy were comfortable throughout the entire process. I can’t thank them enough and recommend them to anyone who owns a pet.

Seen the in’s and out’s, with so many choices in Greater Boston, there’s absolutely no reason to take your family member here. Countless reasons that get into ethics but on the surface, why wouldn’t the vets have any of their own pets? If that doesn’t strike you as strange than go read the yelp reviews that got silenced as ‘not recommended’ and then you can read about how they treat your animal while giving you a ‘deal’. It’s appalling, I’m no saint and this place gave me nightmares, it kills me to think any animal ends up in their hands. Special place in hell for people like this, go to a real practice that isn’t cruel and operating out of the Stone Age
