I’ve moved around a lot and been to quite a few different animal clinics and this one by far has been my favorite everyone who works here is so compassionate and loving. My older dog has had a very bad experience going to vet before so every time it was time to take her in for a wellness exam or to get her shots updated she would freak out and I’d have to actually pick her up and take her in but since changing to this clinic she actually wags her tail and doesn’t seem like she has anxiety at all she just walks right in. The doctors and techs are amazing they don’t try to rush you out the doors they take the time to really answer all your questions and I absolutely adore all the receptionists they’re also very helpful. Everyone here just truly cares about your pets.

I have used Crater Animal Clinic since 2017 for my small senior dog we adopted with teeth problems and jaw issues. Dr. Smith, along with the entire clinic team, have been great with him. Gentle care seems to be their way. Through surgeries and regular vet care we now have a pretty happy little guy. I won't use any other vet clinic.

I was very clear about my cat’s medical history, yet the vet insisted on x-rays despite the fact that I told her that all x-rays and blood tests had been negative for years. Two were recommended, both were negative. I was frustrated because I knew they would be negative. They still charged me roughly $200 for the x-rays. I was recommended an allergy medication for the cat. I was told that I could have this medication prescribed without needing to return to pay for another exam. I called back to request the prescription without having an exam done. They now want me to return to pay for another exam and will not fill the prescription as promised, given that symptoms have not changed for my cat. I have received no real help or advice for my cat, and my cat has not been treated in any way, and I am to pay more to maybe be told — what??? Like other vets have done, I feel like I am being exploited. No real help… just pay more money and maybe we will figure something out eventually? My cat is a one-eyed rescue cat with breathing problems. I’m really supposed to pay hundreds of dollars for no solutions in direct opposition to my very direct explanation that bloodwork and X-rays were negative? And then you lie to me about not needing me to come back to get the prescription? And you won’t even do the the second exam for free just so I can pay for the medication? And the price on the same medication might vary wildly depending on how much I can pay? Ugh….. it is so depressing that I keep having to go through this kind of exploitation just to help this suffering cat. All you had to do to avoid me writing this review is offer a free exam without me asking? The exam doesn’t even involve anything special in any way. It was more basic than my daily inspection of her! And nothing concrete was offered. Barely even any conjecture? This whole thing has felt so fake and effort-free. A comedy of manners from start to finish. All fluff, contrived concern — no real substance and certainly nothing close to a solution. Just pay more … for nothing substantive. Nothing about this business has felt legitimate. They have followed my lead on everything I have said, as if I am more knowledgeable than them, and then they just — recommend more of the same. Extremely depressing to have to deal with this.

My dog had his TPLO surgery here (pretty big knee surgery) & they took good care of him & he is recovering really well! He loves going to hydrotherapy, which he's doing to help him recover.

These are all puppies that Crater Animal Clinic have docked there tails and removed the dew claws from. Tablerockboardingkennels.com is very pleased with the service from Crater Animal Clinic.
