Very pleasant and nice except the officer that was there. You on phone talking to person. She was speaking so loud and discussing what person had said on the phone. No one wants to hear all of that. I was there for my dog and looking at others.

Went in to see if they accepted volunteers. The staff was friendly and happily informed me the shelter is now set up to receive volunteers. Kind lady printed up the required paperwork for me to fill out along with background check authorization. I Look forward to being around the homeless animal population to support the cause in the community.

Addition: On Oct 6 2023, on the way to the dump, I heard a loud scream in there. Calling the cops does no good as I have learned. There are no minus stars so , like everything else in this state, no one cares or wants to their job. Have called 4 times, dogs constantly barking several hours per day. One time Henry County phone law enforcement was actually busy, which is who you call because Animal Control doesn't have their own phone. BTW, very sorry I moved to VA. Very poorly-run state.
