The spot clinic offers many options to humans and their pets. These include clinics for shots and other necessities, the staff us very Informative and helpful. There is a need for wet food right now any help is appreciated. They also offer free clinics from time to time this place is a very organized and helpful place and you could find your next pet there .

Not sure why vets are closed on weekends in Parkersburg? Animals must not get hurt on the weekends. Maybe there’s just not enough veterinarians and can’t hire ones for the weekend? Are they just busy at church? My cat suffered days it didn’t need to and passed away late Sunday night.

I took three feral cats (mother and two kittens) on separate days to get spayed. I was instructed to have them there between 7:00am and 7:15am. I am attempting to "socialize" them - which is a somewhat lengthy and uncertain process - and had some concerns that capturing them and taking them to the clinic would cancel my progress in that regard, but was worried enough about more pregnancies that I did take them. This clinic is inexpensive ($50 per cat at time of review, and feral cats are sterilized for free). It seems to be a quality operation, nonetheless, and the people were all kind - be nice to them, and please consider making a donation to help offset expenses. They performed the surgeries and also administered rabies and FVRCP vaccines, plus removed the tip of the cats' left ears (done to show that cats are "fixed"), which is optional. They also administered a pain medication shot after the surgery. They used dissolving sutures internally and surgical adhesive externally so that the animals do not have to return to the clinic afterward. Although, as I mentioned, socializing feral cats to human contact takes a lot of effort and the outcome is never certain (although I have had a high degree of success over the years), if one can at least participate in the TNR (trap/neuter/release) process, that can help greatly; feral/community cats that are trapped, sterilized, and then released back to the same location will never produce more animals, and will also help prevent more feral cats from moving in to the area.

Extremely nice & helpful staff .. If it weren't for the low-cost services offered here, a lot of animals in the MOV wouldn't get vaccinated or spayed/neutered, THANK YOU !!
