I would highly recommend this shelter to anyone looking to adopt! I recently adopted my kitten Callie and everything went smoothly. They were very patient with me and very kind. They responded the same day as I submitted my application and explained I'd need to wait for her to be neutered which was completely fine with me. Unfortunately I had a family thing come up and they worked with me on dates I could come by and pick her up. She's a very healthy playful kitten who now loves her new furever home. I couldn't be anymore thankful for medfield shelter in helping us fill our home with another furry friend .

I had a VERY poor experience today during an adoption meet and greet with trainer Kate. Not only was I shamed about my own dog and her independent nature (as a cattledog) and was even questioned critically about where I trained her after watching her interact and knowing this information previously. An apparent lack of understanding of the breed of dogs we were introducing and absolutely ZERO training while getting the pups to know each other. My dog was very over stimulated with all the smells - instead of engaging both dogs in a movement based activity when my dog became anxious she instead gave negative feedback to me. When she left the playpen outside our dogs began to loosen up and wag tails and seemed to be getting on. The second she returned the energy changed and my dog became aggressive towards the other dog (totally out of character and never done it once in 3.5 years). Extremely disappointed at the lack of support making a match.

I have only heard good things , about staff , and hard working employees. Compassionate care for all the animals. I was actually dropping off a donation, but definitely worth a trip to see if you can adopt an animal that really needs a loving home.

So kind and caring and really seem to go above and beyond as far as caring for their animals before finding them homes while still keeping the adoption fee very low! Awesome place!

Just adopted this precious Kitty. The shelter was so wonderful in helping us with the adoption process. Kim helped us with all of our questions and set us up for success. The shelter was clean and efficient. Our Kitty was obviously taken great care of by the foster parents. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to adopt a new fur baby.

My boyfriend recently adopted a kitten Amber (formerly Ficus) from this shelter and not only is she perfect the facility was clean and the staff we interacted with was amazing. They even sent us home with her little bed/tent and gave us a goodie bag. I highly recommend adopting an animal from this facility if you are looking for an animal friend. As soon as we brought home Amber she was a sweet cuddle bug. My BF couldn't have found a better kitten and companion for his other recently adopted kitten Autumn.
