Most counties it's 10 to $15 for the tag regardless of state. Lady on the phone couldn't even tell me the last rabies case found in the county. Showed up at my house to intimidate me or my elderly father even though I answered their phone call no problem. They didn't appreciate when Rita Caldwell stole from them, now they're stealing from their citizens because they were too dumb to notice millions missing. We the people aren't ignorant.

I met a dog I wanted to adopt. We even filled out the application. Instead of the staff updating us if we were approved or not they never returned my calls or emails. I finally spoke with someone and they told me there were multiple applications for the dog and they would let us know. It’s been over a week. Very disappointed in this place. I think even if you aren’t approved for a dog instead of completely ignoring me at least let me know what’s going on so I can look elsewhere. I would say don’t adopt here. The staff might be friendly but they are terrible at getting your hopes up and then letting you down by ignoring you.

Horrible employees. I had a woman show up at my door, did not introduce who she was, and say that they have been trying to reach me about my cat. I confirmed that I spoke with someone about a month prior regarding my cat needing her rabies shot. I informed the woman that we just lost a different animal and so things were a little crazy. She didn’t care, had no remorse, and just stated that I was being cited for failing to get my cat her rabies shot and that I would have to go to court because of it. I told her that I have lived in the area for 10+ years and this has never happened before. She then proceeded to get an attitude because I was questioning her. Then she had the nerve to say “You can scoff all you want, I am just trying to help.” I’m sorry? Where are you trying to help. After she left, I call the office to complain about what happened and all they cared about was the deceased animals name for their records. I do not know who is in charge of this department but everyone clearly needs to learn some basic manners and respect.

I had the unfortunate situation with a neighbors aggressive dog coming at myself and my dog on our property. Well over a year I reported to Terri and sent her MULTIPLE pictures and videos of the dog running loose. Well Terri pretended she cared and said she would forward the evidence to the states attorney for charges on the dogs owner. Well every ticket was dismissed and Terri blamed the states attorney. I found out she NEVER forwarded any evidence showing proof of the dog on my property running at large. While talking to her on one occasion she said that I could mace the dog if it come at myself while being aggressive. So I did on a few occasions. Well they brought charges on myself for animal cruelty. Of course Terri lied thru her teeth about everything. On one occasion she told me they did not have time to address my problem because dixon was having a epidemic of dogs running loose. What a joke she is. It's very sad how she gets a paycheck but picks and chooses what she wants to enforce.

My 85 year old mom was told if she didn’t have her dog vaccinated that she would be fined or put in jail. Threaten to put an 85 yr. old in jail. Really? She was also told when she needed to take her dog to the vet which was not conducive to her personal medical schedule. Please understand that my mom’s dog NEVER goes outside but a “bat could get inside and bite her dog” The 13 year old dog doesn’t have any teeth! But moreover, does anyone read these reviews? Common thread, rude, condescending and unprofessional!
