I love this vet. I really do, and I wish I could give them 5 stars because if not for this issue they’d be perfect. They handled a leg amputation for one of my dogs beautifully. They’re priced fairly, all the assists knew my dog by name and told me how much they loved him. He’s healed wonderfully from his procedure and is back to himself, thanks to their great work. Today, I dropped my other dog off for a surgery at 7:30AM. I was told someone would call me to let me know how it went. It is now 3:51PM, and I have been trying to reach someone since 3:07PM. I’ve been on hold for about 94% of that time. Twice I’ve gotten through to someone, given them my name and my pets info, and then been put back on hold for so long that the call automatically disconnects. I’ve heard from several people that they’re very hard to get a hold of over the phone, but I’d never had an issue with it previously. This is just ridiculous. I just want to know how my dog is after surgery and whether or not he’s ready to be picked up. Again, I cannot stress enough how good their work is, but reception leaves a lot of room to be improved on. (I’m even adding photos of my dogs, so that y’all can see how well my tripod has healed from their great work.) If this is something that improves I’m happy to come back later and change my review but until then, just know you’re probably never getting through to anybody on the phone here.

I have been going to this vet since 2009. Dr. Schmunk and his staff are kind hearted and very knowledgeable. They have many times went over and beyond for me and my furbabies. I’m also a wildlife rehabber and Dr. Schmunk has been great at advising me on the care and release of several squirrels/opossums I rehabbed over the years. Such huge appreciation for all their care/advice and love for my pets/wildlife.

Kind and caring staff. Pricing was fair and straightforward. Our dog seen Linda Overcash and she was thorough, patient, and honestly one of the best vets we have ever seen. She was able to keep our dog calm during the exam and he instantly trusted her. 10/10 recommend 😊

This used to be a very good vet to go to. They were reasonable didn’t charge a whole lot but now they’ve gotten ridiculous so now if you don’t have an appointment and your cat gets sick and you don’t have time to make one because you don’t think it’s gonna make it by the time you get an appointment you’re gonna get charged 100 and some dollars for an emergency what the hell what are you supposed to do ridiculous I see charging a little fee for not having an appointment but 100 and some 130 some dollars that’s ridiculous what they expect people to do. I guess next time I’ll have to let my animal die because I can’t pay back and then all the other steps that they do it just way more than I can afford really sucks too cause my doctor smart ran that place it wouldn’t like that but now they got some stupid crazy mad money person. I got much good about it right now so I just know that now that when my cat gets sick, it’s just gonna have to die, but if I don’t get an appointment there is no sense in the feed being in that house cause you don’t have an appointment that’s ice. I can’t get over that that’s crazy.

Dr. Schmunk has been helping me with my animals since my very first hamster, and every single time he's been so gentle and loving to them and fair and honest to me. He always goes above and beyond to care for my fur-babies and I never worry about being overcharged or overlooked. He's always very careful and attentive and has provided the best care possible for us. It can get loud in there due to dogs barking etc and can cause sensory overload sometimes but overall I absolutely recommend 100%. Doc is the best (and he's seen just about everything, not just dogs and cats.)
